LY-MCA (of DOT LT, whoever they are) operating Aer Arann/Stobart/Regional flight from Dublin to BHX at present. Looking at the history it's done a few flights the last few days for them

Covering the loss of a 72 to Southend until FCZ joins the fleet.
The Danish crews are very well regarded by Stobartair since a number of them were contractors last year.

You'd think that was sightseeing or photography perhaps wouldn't you..apparently used by the MET police and British spy services...

Quite why they'd be doing such odd manoeuvres I don't know.

That sure looks like it's tracking some one. It finishes over the Wembley area doing 2 distinct and offset groups of loops which could be for triangulation of a signal. It was doing two similar loops in the Maidstone area at the start of its track. Dropping back down to Farnborough now.

Bergerac, France to Edinburgh in a Dash 8- a long spin! http://www.flightradar24.com/BEE3256

However it's zipping along at 390kts across the ground at the moment- about the same speed as a 737 with a chronic headwind I guess!

I saw this on F24 last night (well, stupid o'clock this morning - almost 3am). I saw this little grey dot moving near Gatwick and when I zoomed in, it was this. Never saw ground vehicles on this before.

must be some sort of gliding airshow on to to the west of london, if ye look at FR right now, you will see about 20+ of these in the area - Schempp-Hirth Discus B and then this Cessana amontest others keeping an eye on them perhaps.

anybody know what it is or is this normal sunday viewing? there must be 50 or so of these around if you search the wider area.

Anyone know the feeder for Knock on liveatc? Knock tower seems ok but aircraft and especially Shannon low level are patchy..been like this every time I've been on last two weeks or so.

Well none of the other flights flew over Greenland. It seems a bit odd to fly way up there just to get to New York.

When tracking flights its only really mainland european and california flights which go up there.

I wonder was it an ETOPS thing- the flight left Shannon 3 hours late so perhaps some fault arose that required it?

Looking out the window and seeing R116 come from the South and curve around the airfield to land is not a bad sight :)

    from FR24

Heavily armed gunmen have attacked Karachi's International Airport in Pakistan, killing at least four security guards. All operations at the terminal have been suspended and flights are being diverted.
