Not sure, but there seems to be a renewed crusade against cannabis coming from both government and media in the last couple of months

Hmmmm. Isn't cannabis only smoked by unemployed wasters? And aren't unemployed wasters the ones with millions of kids so they can get all their free houses? Doesn't add up.

Nope, that's the effects of heroin you're seeing. Female addicts ovulate on an accelerated cycle, 14 days, so they're twice as fertile, hence all those kids.

I think it's because we sent Ming to Europe. :pac:

On a serious note, whoop-di-****ing-do. Too much sugar can give you diabetes, smoking can lead to cancer....we're still mad at it. There's definitely a lot more cannabis scare-mongering going on lately for whatever reason.

Its illegal anyway so any law abiding citizens shouldn't worry about it.

In Holland they give out free joints to the kids in school to keep them quiet but you don't hear the Examiner complain about that.

I'd say there's a fair few boardsies living in Colorado, Washington and err Uruguay.

Oh no doubt, and the rest have "medicinal" reasons....

The spermies are too busy laid out on the spermy couch eating goodfellas pizza and watching episodes of Dexter's Lab on the cartoon network. Who needs babies when you have all that.

It seems a bit mental, they're basically saying if you smoke cannibas you can't have kids. Pfffft

Don't forget the fairly large proportion of boards users who don't abide by this particular law.

Unless it's a permanent side-effect; most users would welcome a lowered fertility rate....

    Checks article....
The take-home message is, if you’re a habitual cannabis user, stop, and you need to stop for at least three months

Hahaha - please. I wish EVERYONE had to stop doing something for three months before they could reproduce. We'd all be better off without accidental parents.

Maybe its to appear to be hard on drugs? but doing damn all about it
Are extra shipments of heroin are turning up from Afghanistan?
Id be happier if they tackled the harder drugs and open dealing and the drug barons, and start at that end, heroin and other drugs.

Considering the birth-rate of dublin (especially the council estates) I would say no weed does not lower fertility.

In-fact most of the symptoms the anti-drug crowd espouse are all just lies. It impacts mental health when most psychologists dont actually know what is causing psychosis or schizophrenia. Even though cases drop while weed smokers go up.

 Dunno what you read. It did not say it renders you steriles, it said it reduces fertility, so can tight jeans...

Scientific investigation that produces unbiased evidence (for or against something) isn't a crusade.

I go to a college full of relatively well of people and based on that I can say drug use is not confined to a lower economic class.

Yes everyone from all types smoke weed. I think if it decreases fertility the government should give it to 16 year-olds so we don't have teen pregnancy. But as this report is full of shít that will never work.

You go to college? You never mentioned that before! :pac:

Who ever thought cannabis use was a lower socio-economic group thing anyway?

I would be more concerned about those under 16 years old getting pregnant.

Anyone reckon there is much truth to this?

    You sound doubtful.

Doesn't anyone remember the warning labels that stated "smoking damages the sperm" on cigarettes?

Do you doubt there is a causative relationship between smoking tobacco and decreased sperm count?

Probabilistically speaking, I would say smoking cannabis has a similar effect on sperm as tobacco.

I used to smoke tobacco but i still smoke a bit of weed and i have noticed i am not out of breath so quick as when I smoked. I know its not definitive or anything but you dont get hooked (addicted personalities aside) so your not smoking 20 joints a day like you would tobacco.
While it still smoking its not as damaging as your not smoking as much.

Never affected me, I've smoked Green and brown most of my life, and had two wonderful kids, had to have a vasectomy because my wife had problems that meant if she got pregnant again it might kill her, feckin vasectomy didn't work, apparently I have superGiz that found a new way of getting out, so she had to have tubes tied. Don't believe everything you see printed in a paper.

The teenage pregnancy rate has lowered significantly in recent years.

If you're having any difficulties conceiving lifestyle factors will be checked first and top of the list are smoking weed or tobacco, alcohol and diet.
