Thats the exact reason I hate those who think its safe to speed in built up areas, like some of those younger drivers?? who commented on my last vid.

An extra 15kpm and your chances of avoiding them kids would be reduced by a scary amount.

Point I think you missed from them is there is a normal speed and a "I'm not breaking a law" speed. The second can end up being more dangerous as 'normal' traffic has to overtake with a net result of the road being more dangerous.

I can see both points of view, but IMO everyone doing slightly over the limit is a lot safer than most people having to speed up hugely and swerve onto wrong side of road in built up areas to pass the 'safe' driver.

Not really, it's simple physics really... He'd be over 30% further down the road.. did you not covered that topic in school?

I'm not condoning or promoting speeding, I'm actually a pretty slow driver in the car, just pointing out a flaw in the original comment I quoted..

Conversley though if the car was stopped at the traffic lights 5 minutes earlier he'd have been across the road before the car got there, in other words the arguments being put forward are stupid.

As for Clarkson and his faster is safer arguments, he should be correcting it to newer is safer

If people have to speed up hugely and swerve onto the other side of the road to overtake, they're a liability. They should wait for somewhere safer to overtake

That was not what the op meant at all, they meant that had the driver been in that exact same position, but travelling 15km/h faster the chances of avoiding a collision would have been drastically reduced.

I stand by my comment, your post is completely absurd, (your theoretical) physics has nothing to do with it, apart from the faster you go, the longer it takes to stop.

No. You are wrong. Some posters here are super duper safe speeders and have reactions faster than the speed of light. :pac::pac::pac::D

Must we always turn this thread into a bitching match?

I'd hate to see it go the same way as the parking thread did :(

I'm surprise the lambo owner didn't stop to give yer man a piece of his mind.

If someone throw a rock at my car (let alone a lambo), they are going home with a broken arm.

From the video it appears that the driver was acting a like a complete wanker, racing up and down the street.
Chances are that if he had got out of the car, he would have risked being lynched by the residents.

If I was as idiotic as this driver I would have driven off to avoid another stone hitting my lambo, parked somewhere offside and safe and came back to break the residents arm. That is if I was an idiot.

That guy with the rock was ready to box the head off that Lambo driver.

Fancy car or not. He bottled out and ran away. Most would at the sight of a crazed rock throwing psycho coming at ya.

First thing I done when I got home was phoned the barracks to see if anyone had reported it with the reg, as the video footage I have all you can make is that it seems to be 08 DL the rest isn't close to being readable.

Unfortunately nobody reported it (which I was surprised at) the Guard then pretty much hung up on me after saying at its no use if we don't know the reg

I thought the least he could have done was take my details in case someone reports the reg later.

It looks like 08DL4676 to me. Motorcheck suggests 08DL4676 is a Red three door Auris. Is that car an Auris?

As has been said the car in the pic is an aygo and NOT an Auris. Before jumping to conclusions take a closer look and you will see that both cars look completely differrent.

Some poor bugger in a red Auris is getting the blame for something they haven't done.

    Aygo

Could have been serious if someone was crossing by the van as that idiot showed up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,151 ✭✭✭kupus

Ill start by saying I know its a bike. but its a bike with a helmet cam.....
    BUt wow just wow.

A bike a pack of dogs and nearly a very bad ending.
Just goes to show what dogs are capable of when they are in a group.
Even your little terrier that you trust completely changes if it goes roaming in groups.

First clip is pretty ridiculous. The "lane" closed very quickly and if the car in the driving lane didn't see what was happening, the van could have been mashed between them.

most of the clips are dashcam the rest are cctv.

Im sorry but people are fcukn stupid.
