oh and BTW, i live less than a mile away from croker and i'm all for it. bit of buzz in the area!

I live relatively close to croker myself, and i agree that the atmosphere around a big match/concert is unbeatable. I'm even going to garth :eek: But the thing that's most annoying is that croke park (not aiken) do the absolute minimum necessary and don't give a ****, promises of traffic management, adequate crowd control blah blah blah.... and most people do grit their teeth and bear it, but 5 nights in a row plus 2 for setup and 2 for takedown is the straw that broke the camels back. I don't want croker closed to gigs or these gigs cancelled, but if this forces cp to actually run gigs properly then i'm all for it.

Night time and city lights wouldn't show up a bleach stained top.

If she very conveniently didn't notice the bleach on her 7 year old girl/unknown age son until they got home, how can they say that it was thrown out of a window?

No facts = bull**** story; and you know it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

there could be, but really what sort of absolute mental weirdo does it take to do ALL that instead of just going on a short holiday that week, or maybe you know, take a few deep breaths and relax for once in your petty life?

why bother prolonging your "misery" of the whole thing by extending it to court etc?

you are so set on acting passive aggressively to prove your point that you dont care when a 7 year old innocent child gets BLEACH thrown over them??

there's something wrong with you there i think.

    There could be both.

The concerts will still go ahead though.

Why is this a guarantee? Are you saying that the county council decision makers and the judges are all corrupt?

No, that is not what I am saying. The concerts won't be cancelled is all I am saying. There is no hidden message there.

Again that hasn't been decided. Maybe you are right maybe you are wrong we will just have to wait and see.

Realistically speaking, I think we'd all be very surprised if they were turned down. There is a way things are done in Ireland, expecially when you have money and are in need a "favour" for a money-spinning venture to go ahead. And while it's the County Countil that will make the decision, I'd say yes - there's a bit of corruption there.

That said, if they don't get the licenses, then I have to be honest and some of my faith will be restored.

How many free tickets does the city councillors get?

I really hope it doesn't go ahead. The promoters have completely abused the good will of the residents and are 100% taking the piss here and laughing at the people who's lives are being disrupted for several days at a time only a few weeks apart just so a shower of plebs can listen to **** music.

The residents, croke park and the promoters had an agreement, croke park and the promoters are completely taking the piss and should be wrapped on the knuckles. Cancling these gigs will send a strong message to bleep bleep companies like the promoters and let them know that they aren't above the law and their financial interests aren't more important than thousands of local residents standard of living.

Where did I call other people cúnts?

I didn't say you in particular. I said it's the Garth fans that seem to use this type of language, particularly the women. Look at the start of the thread, another classy chick using the C word to describe Croker residents.

I'd just rather not have your type hanging around my house. That's all.

An agreement to have 3 concerts then apply for more. If I was the residents I'd be blaming whoever signed the agreement that specified Croke Park could apply for more than 3 concerts instead of an air tight only 3 events allowed.

Or making sure that Croke Park can not sell tickets to events that have not been licensed.

No, most of you are aggressive, bullish, some of you condone and threaten obnoxious and anti social behaviour. A good few of you, including you are foul mouthed.

Not a very nice bunch judging by this thread.

Foul mouthed, ha ha :pac:?? This isn't America, nobody give a fiddlers f*ck about what language you use in this country its part of everyday vocabulary for the vast majority of people.

Indeed, it might be for the likes of you and your family. But, believe me, there are an awful or of people that don't call people the C word or ever use it, particularly in front of kids.

When, or if you ever spread your wings you will realise that what goes on in your peer group isn't "the vast majority".

I have dealt with and work with loads of people from outside my peer group, from different parts of the country and indeed from many different countries and its only a handful that don't regularly use what people would call "bad language".

Words like f*ck, bolloc*s, sh*it etc are the norm in any place I've worked and among the many different people I know. C*nt is also in regular use. I think its hilarious (and sad at the sametime) that there are still people out there that have a problem with the use of these everyday words.

Come out of your bubble, the same bubble that makes you think its ok to try and disrupt the enjoyment and plans of thousands and thousands of concert goers by trying to derail the Garth brooks concerts.

It's not where I work. It's not in my solicitors office either, or the accountants we use. None of my clients would ever use it, I have never heard it being uttered in any board meetings and if any suppliers were to mouth it off around the building they'd be dropped.

I was not referring in particular to work with that comment, it would certainly be used among my group of friends at work but not so much in an official situation more at lunch or in meetings with only certain individuals present. That said, particularly in the pub environment I have heard very senior people use it.

Pick your battles, man. I'm sure those 5 days are going to suck a large one for anyone who wouldn't describe a county colours night with free Tayto and hang sangwiches as "mighty," and the attitude displayed by the concert attendees on this thread has been pretty dismal, but complaining about people deigning to use profane language in your area sound pompous and petty. If you want to distance yourself and yours from that kind of thing you'd be wise to leave the country relocate to Texas.

I would never hear that in the workplace and even if we all went for beers after work i don't think i have ever heard anyone use that word.

To suddenly have a stadium next door? And shock horror, for it to be in use?
I'm guessing you haven't been following the thread very closely, that argument has already been made and refuted many times

They probably didn't take much heed of it at the time, from reading the baby, it was only when they got home, they discovered the t-shirt was destroyed.

    It's a baby now?

Don't feed it, it will only post more fake stories about croke park residents kidnapping poor childer to work in their secret tunnel under the stadium to blow poor garthy up.

What "good will" Ever since Croke Park decided to modernise the stadium they have had nothing but "nimbyism" from certain residents and a few councillors trying to gather votes. Well you will be waiting a long time if you think concerts are going to stop being held at Croke Park.
