You just don't run in the right circles.

    Perhaps I don't!

I cant think of anywhere that would charge more than 5.50 down here, most would be 5 or less. The post I quoted referenced more than one place too.

6.25 for a pint of tiger beer in a place I used to work in wexford. 5.70 for a normal larger and 5.40 for a guiness

He was talking about cork not wexford I assume. Says Cork in his location anyhow.

Those are saucy prices for wexford.

5 and I'm ready to stay out all night and have another 5 or so if it's a good night!

I feel it from the first pint. How much I feel it all depends.

On a full stomach I could have 4 and not feel it so much. But I had 3 yesterday from around 6pm, having not eaten since about Noon, and I 'felt' it as if I'd had 6 or 7.

Start to feel "different" after 2, but I've had more than 13/14 on the very odd occasion and pay for it in more than one way in the morning.

I start to feel giddy after about 12 bottles of perlenbacher, anything lower and I don't really feel anything. :o

About 19 pints before I start to feel anything. I usually switch to whiskey after that.

    I'm right hard.

Typical Irish people, we could pass out on a night out yet we'd still remember everything we drank

Me? I usually drink spirits but if I have to do my drinking in a pub I can easily handle 5 pints. I'd say pint 6 or 7 would be the start of my ending alright.

    3 pints - funny
    6 pints - wasted
    8 pints - blackout

I drank 30 pint sized bottles of beer last week and talk about feeling giddy, the hangover almost killed me, so I cut down to 20 bottles instead, see how that goes :)

Where? Name one place in Cork that is 6.50 a pint and name the beer.

I have not come across prices like that anywhere.

    I used hyperbole on AH.

    #Shocker

(Most I've seen is 5.80 for Bulmers in a pub in Midleton, can't remember which :P)

About 10 pints before I'd consider myself merry. Obviously I'm a bit more ummm chatty after less than that. But totally in control. Would need at least 14 before I'm actually drunk and acting like every other pleb out on the town.

How can you trust someone with a dodgy hotmail website as their username? :)

Just looked it up and it's says it's the "Leading Hotels Site on the Net": Trivago, eat your heart out.

I know that. That's what I meant, just that some places are a rip off

It's 6.50 a pint in some places down here :pac:

I'd rather pay €6.50 for a really gorgeous craft beer than €5 for a crappy Carlsberg! :)

2-3 pints is enough for me but usually end up having 4 pints because I'm enjoying people's company or whatever.

Anyone who pays €6.50 for a pint is clearly some kind of moron, and should be ignored at all costs.
