"Feck sake - we only finished 7th thanks to Moyes and his turgid football. I mean, really shite. Arse piss of the wateriest variety. But hey, at least we can laugh at Liverpool with their likely second place finish and Champions League football to look forward to"
Not laugh, just feel a little for them as they got so close and, deep down, they know that this is as good as it will get in the next few years.

Still waiting for your email address. I would be delighted to email you evidence as it would mean I had won. Whether Liverpool had lost out or not wouldn't bother me. In fact if I thought Liverpool would win I would have had no problem backing them.

Here send it to me please.

So you've put a bet on the title winners for the next few seasons as well? You'll be rolling in it dixie! Though I suppose we all would if Paddy Power paid out on imaginary bets. :(

Kind of think it might be time for one of those thread agreed "mass-ignores" we do from time to time. There's only so much one can talk about fake bets without it getting old.

Can I ask why you're asking for email addresses instead of just posting the screenshot on here? And why does the outcome of the league matter in you showing proof?

Going to reply to that visitor message btw?

Great to see Sunderland staying up and Borini doing well. Poyet has done a great job to keep them up. It looked like they would go down a few weeks ago.

Ye were so close, had it in your grasp and a slip from your talisman sparked the end of your challenge. I don't see ye improving much next year and possibly going back a bit if Suarez moves on.

So close, but this is the beauty of challenging for honours. Sometimes it ends in euphoria, sometimes it ends in devastation. But I'll take that feeling of devastation every day of the week over the dark days we went through not so long go, and indeed, midtable mediocrity that clearly has some people bored to tears. :)

As for Luis, he's not going anywhere if this Summer. If he does, it'll take a world record which will soften the blow.

I've a feeling next year we'll be a lot more competent in the title race.

You're right - back to the footy. As kev says, genuinely happy Sunderland are staying up, and glad Borini played a part in it.

Yeah, really think Borini could be the new Kuyt - workrate, intelligence and a penchant for big goals.

Where has Alan Hansen gone? Hasn't been on MOTD since things went belly up.

You seem to forget that after 2009 was probably the worst period for the club. But that won't matter to you Caus you'd rather come in here butt your head off the wall and scream YOLO.

    Trololol off somewhere else.

If I was a Liverpool supporter that table would pain me more that any joy from United's position no matter how much of an abu I was.

You were also one of those frantically looking for evidence of my bet. Don't forget to PM me your email address and I will happily send evidence of the bet if City win it out.

I just PM'd you my email address, send on a screenshot or crawl back under your rock.

Yeah I thought he'd surely be there until the end. Odd to leave a few weeks early. Maybe recent events have had an influence.

I admit to not paying that close attention but the weekend before last he was being "saluted" by Shearer and Linekar at the end of that MOTD so I'm assuming that was his goodbye.

I might be a bit early but how much is the prize money for finishing 2nd place? Approx or ballpark figure?
