Yes I am. I'm happy to hear your views though.

Were you criticising Fergie when Utd threw it away to Leeds all those years ago?

I wasn't , I was only a baby at the time but I was critical of him when we lost the title to city a couple of years ago , especially after the Everton game when we were 3-1 & 4-2 up but ended up drawing the game 4-4.

Nobody expected yous to be where you are at the minute but that doesn't excuse Rodgers or the players of criticism over the past few weeks IMO.

Maybe we should replace him with Moyes?

I think we lost it against Chelsea aswell. Was heart breaking to see the players last night though.

Actually thought we played really well to go 3 up, then some serious naivety to chase GD. City at worst if they won their last two games works be +11, that means 2 6-0 victories at the very least.

Never gonna happen. We just needed to win the bloody game, you rarely see teams trashed like that anymore.

Anyway, maybe villa will do us a favour

    Of course it does.
The team is set-up to attack and score and this leaves the defence exposed. Many of the goals conceded were break away gaols for the opposition, were the defence has little to no cover because those players needed here are being utilised in our brilliant attack.

Go way out of that nobdoy has said that, He has done a great job overall this season and you've played brilliantly for most of the season, I just feel he deserves some criticism with the way you got beat against Chelsea (when a draw would have pretty much sealed the title) and the draw last night.

Id have no complaints with regard to rodgers against Chelsea. The team had just won 11 games on the bounce if he changed tactics to a more defensive approach looking for a draw and the team lost people would just be saying why did he change a winning formula. Gerrard doesnt slip in that game chances are it finishes 0 0. Last night is a different story he was talking in the press beforehand about still being able to win the league on GD( which was about a 100/1 shot) last night was all about getting a win which the team got themselves into an unbelievable position to do so but unexplicably blew it which of course the manager has to shoulder some of the blame.

So that's why Rodgers should have stayed on the attack instead of bringing on defensive substitutions that cost you the game because he was unable to organize your team defensively even though that was the intention of the substations, he made a bad decision. as he has multiple times this season.

Dont think any other team could have drawn that game last night only a brendan rodgers team. Liverpool leak goals. Even after the first palace goal went in alarms bells should have gone off.

Whereas I'll be the first to admit he's had an excellent season, there are at least four-five players in that Liverpool side who would have been bigger losses than him.

    Name them, please.

An ever present in our good form throughout the season & some goals too. It's no coincedence that our worst results have come when he was out of the side.

He would have had the legs to cover the midfield last night. Midfield is where we lost the game & conceded the goals.

TBH, I might be in the minority here, but I'm glad we went for the GD rather than settle for the win (and by extension, settle for 2nd).

There was a risk and it backfired. But it showed that we wanted to take it into our hands rather than rely on City messing up.

True but at 3-1 we should have composed ourselves and seen the game out.

Don't worry City will lose one of their last two games.

I guess so, but it's nice to see either way.

Again, we're top of the league today, Villa beat city (which more than likely won't happen) and it's back in our hands.

Did you see the half-dozen or more other games were the exact same thing as last night almost happened, but Mignolet/wasteful oppositions saved us?

He played in all of those games.

Not saying he is not a good player and not extremely important to us, but I don't honestly think he'd have made a difference

Countihno for Sterling is not a defensive substation nor was Moses for Sturridge. Sturridge has been injured lately, so that was likely a forced substation.
The team stayed on the attack and did not go defensive. The played the way the did when they went on 11 straight wins.
    Multiple mistakes is a laugh.

Absolutely nothing got to do with Man Utd, nobody is going to masturbate over a managers performance.

I'm discussing Brendan Rodgers and why he deserves criticism for the above. You were also lucking against Man City, you conceded a 2 goal lead because of you defensive fragility and only for a slip up by Kompany that gave Coutinhno the chance you would have lost that game aswell.

Makes me laugh that Utd fans are calling this a collapse.

We were in a title race that no one expected and put together an amazing 11 game winning streak.
Lost a very difficult match against Chelsea that could easily have gone another way.
Last night was certainly a screw up but this has not been a collapse.

Also I see people say that we'll never have this chance again.
Don't get that as team will strengthen so why can't we be competitive next season?

Yes in relation to Man City yes you were lucky. In relation to the post in question no I didn't in that context.

I see no reason why we can't be title contenders next season. We are a young team, full of players who should improve with experience. We also have more scope to improve than Chelsea or Man City.

Everyone talks about Chelsea getting a striker and suddenly they'll be invincible. That's one position. We have massive room for improvement in a number of positions and in terms of depth.

Had placed a €3 bet on Joe Allen first goal Pool 3-0 @150-1
had posted it on FB during the first half and was nervous that we would score a 4th to ruin my bet.
over 12 hours later and i am still in shock that we managed a draw from that .

Squad is paper thin and needs depth, really really missed Hendo last two games and Lucas can not cover for the full 90 mins.
@3-2 we needed fresh legs on in the middle to shore things up ,but there is nobody on that bench to come in and do a job.

So you did mention luck then. You brought us up being lucky against City.
You asked who mentioned luck. The answer is you. Its quite simple really.

Sure we've been lucky all season.

All those 99 goals were as a result of mistakes if you analyse them properly. I have.

I never said Liverpool were lucky all season, he somehow implied that I did. You fail to understand. Read through the posts in a consistent manner.

    It's called small victories.

Or in the case of this season tiny victories.

Its obvious we have been poor at the back this season. Its not really up for debate. Last night was not the first time we let leads slip. Its a regular thing. When we build a lead we don't set up to closed a game out. Its great to watch attacking football, but its a regular thing where our lead nearly never seems safe unless we score 3/4 and sometimes not even then (Palace/Swansea etc).

Whether that can be fixed with better options is up to Rodgers now. I have a lot of confidence in BR to adapt his system again as I'm sure a lot of others do also. His Liverpool team have been incredible this season. I hope our recruitment is a lot better this summer, and we hold our Key players and keep our core together.

Yes but you said we were lucky against city. Then Ranes1 said we were lucky all season. Then you said who mentioned luck? Then I said you did. The you said you didnt. Then I said you did and showed you where you did. The you tried to cover it up talking about context.
See how that works? Its pretty easy to understand when I spell it out for you no?

Won't be top 2 seeds. Will be 3rd Seed at best.
