    New PSU, nom nom.
Old one didn't have enough PCIe connectors for SLI.

We already have 750/750ti with the new Maxwell architecture on 28nm. It's most definitely not a re-brand - the power efficiency is well beyond anything built on Kepler. Of course, it remains to be seen if those improvements can carry over to bigger Maxwell gpus at 28nm.

This. We've already seen that the 750 Ti is ridiculously power efficient in comparison to the 650 Ti. Assuming this scales at all well, the 880, even if it is built on 28nm, should be an awesome card.

The main thing I'm worried about is NVIDIA and their damn Titan pricing mentality. I really hope that the 880 will be a $500 flagship part. If they start with the 880 Ti/Black/AmazoEdition BS again...

    It's a tiny fee, though.

Yeah they are the largest classifieds site in the country now and ties to Boards. Almost everyone who uses boards will be familiar with adverts

Yeah to be fair it's only a charge if you actually sell , and its pretty small at that. Under 30 is free which is also grand. I'm not too upset.

Really it's not that big of a thing. An extra €3 for selling a GPU? Who cares?

The bigger its got the worse its gotten. The computer section was a great place for buying and selling good second hand parts a couple of years ago. Now its a case of hoping someone will spot ur item (or you will spot theirs) in the sea of rubbish.

I would not go near ebay if they would sell Penis and ePenis enlargement tablets for 95% off! that place is a fecking den of Bastards.

So where would you go? Hypothetically speaking of course........

Anywhere else. eBay became some sort of a joke.

Second hand parts - cost stupid money.
Brand new parts - Cost even more.
A perfect bundle of Scams or very poor quality stuff.

Adverts/donedeal is still my main place to buy/sell stuff second hand. Its like choosing the lesser evil out of two. 3eu charge sucks and find it a bit "stupid way of doing it".

Benefit of IT gear is you can sell it anywhere pretty easily, I might horde more now or can sell in a 100 other places.
I'm trying to figure out how to close my adverts account but they really dont want to let you close it.
I cant find the option anywhere and their support are usually useless to deal with.

We should get our own private selling thread going. Like what they have on the airsoft forum

We are not allowed, as they want to force all selling on adverts. We just have to figure out some way around it without being banned :P

Is a 3% (taking the absolute worst case) hit really that horrible? On average, you'd pay more in petrol driving somewhere to meet the person.

With adverts I wouldnt be willing to pay a fee but would with the likes of ebay/paypal as unlike the likes of ebay where you have some come back when things go wrong, with adverts its just go feck yourself and stop annoying me when you complain about an issue.
I've dealt with them a few times and each time you would get a reply from them in what they think is the quickest way to fob you off.

I'm sorted anyway. 2 posters I regularly sell and buy stuff from. So we are a mini buy and sell lol

I put off my 21:9 monitor purchase, because 4k showed its ugly face. Now I know for sure, I did not made mistake. This ( or other brand same resolution ) monitor is going to be my next upgrade. Its just perfect for me. Specially when I do play racing games with G27.

Yeah, have always preferred the idea of wider screens to 4K but don't think I could drop back to 60Hz slower displays now. :(

    Stunning display otherwise.

Star Citizen would look pretty sexy on it though.... But yeah, don't think I'm mad enough to drop a grand on a monitor for one game in pre-pre-alpha! :pac:

950eu is not even that bad. I expected it to be a lot more. When it drops to 600eu range, then I am in, it Needs more competition. I honestly think it is a lot better solution for real life aplication, then just an ePenis status ( what 4k is right now )

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

I've been using two 24" 1080p monitors for a while, but they've (I think) started giving me back problems (having to lean in a bit more vs. sitting back with one).

Ideally, I'd love something like this, but curved. It would be great for development work.

ouch 950 and 99% srgb with a 1000:1 contrast ratio at 320 candelas2, wouldn't be viable for anything professional. Wonder how it matches up when professionally calibrated and at 80cds.
