i walk four miles per day , six days per week , takes me fifty minutes per day

would this be considered to be an adequete level of exercise for a 35 year old , i cant do much more as i have long term back pain so weights or stretches cause me too much pain , as does running , i was always a fast walker so i build up quite a sweat

Resistance training does not necessarily mean you have to use actual weights, you could be doing dips & chinups & pushups -of course you might want to get checked out first.

I had a bit of a strained back and found pullups helped I would just hang from the bar for a while.
