Windy, cool, a bite in exposed places. Will take it over wet. Could do with some heat, not great grass growth in this day.

Its dry , breezy and there is a nip in it . There isnt alot of growth alright Con but it mightnt be any harm to have the gound dried out a bit more before too much grass comes , its still wet enough underfoot for the cows around here

Giving serious contemplation to lambing April 1 next year, instead of in or around St Patricks day. Until I have done some work on improving the fertility of my farm and plant some natural shelter (which the wooly vandals won't kill) I may be working against myself doing what I am doing now in € cost terms.

That said if I do go for that lambing date I will probably have six inches of grass in Feb 15 :pac:

Weather is good here ATM. We were getting a bit worried about lack of rain for a while but we are OK for now.
Flag leaf has emerged on WW.

Cooler than yesterday. Had a bucket collecting water under the downpipe of my small shed last night, didn't manage to fill it so it didn't make much.

After having a nice kind shower of rain, birds singing. Just the job to wash in slurry spread yesterday.

Turning into a good grass spring wouldn't like to have barley to sow though

Absolutely no dew here this morning. You could roll around in the field and not get wet.
Father flat out spreading at the min
