You know what annoys me? people who know in real life are perfectly coherent and intelligent people who can use a keyboard, you see the evidence of this at work, yet on facebook they spell like idiots. Are people just dumbing themselves down to fit in? why? don't indulge the stupid!

I think they see facebook as a slobby old tracksuit to throw on, like when you're off-duty and have a hangover and are not able to put your best foot forward. Most of us keep to ourselves when that happens though.

Thirty something woman who is a friend of a cousin. Divorced in 2012 has three children.
Valentine's day 2013 she got engaged to a 21 yr old. It didn't work out.
Valentine's day 2014 engaged to a new fella in his 40's. 30+ pics of ring. Found out a few weeks later she is pregnant.

Today this status:

"gutted {name} got recalled to prison lastnite gona miss him so much xxx"

Oh this is another from a few days ago:

"Sick off people n u know who u r saying or having a prob abt me n {name} being together! Me n {name} r happy keep ya ****in noses n comments to yaself n get on wiv ya sad pathetic lifes which u clearly haven't got one lol rant over."

Her fb page reads like a Jeremy Kyle script.
Btw I don't know this girl, I spoke to her once at a party and know all this from facebook.

I hate the way people put up RIP status' or condolence messages the minute they hear someone has passed. It's like people are competing for who knows such and such died first. This happened recently when a status by some busy body was put up before a relative in England had found out and they found out on Facebook as a result. Some people just lack any basic common sense.

Another related thing that annoys me when someone dies is how their friends start posting on their page speaking to them in the weeks and months following the death. E.g. "Cant believe its 3 weeks already I woke up this morning after having a dream about you", "Hey x remember that day we went to the beach" or something similar. I know people grieve in different ways but ffs I'm fairly sure the deceased doesn't have access to an internet connection and facebook wherever they are.

I know of someone who kept doing this on someone's page after they died, she had met the person once through friends, and she posted so much of that kind of stuff that the family ended up asking her to stop as it was upsetting people that actually knew the person.

My aunt changes her facebook picture to the dead person on anniversaries, birthdays etc! So a couple of times a year I wake up and see my 10 years dead, grandparents staring at me! Still creeps me out!

My friend's sister died almost 2 years ago and my friend was infuriated at the first anniversary by the number of people who changed their profile picture to one of her...all people who the sister couldn't stand and who hadn't a good word to say about her when she was alive, naturally.
