I was looking at the Scottish Premiership, that league is so uncompetitive it's ridiculous. Celtic lost 1 game all season, and are 26 points ahead of the team in second. Much as I hate Rangers, Celtic need them to have a competitive season.

Bayern lost 0 games & Juve just 2 so far.

You could say the same about Byern and the German league too.

Yeah, but I figured more people would look at the German league over the Scots.

I'm told Last Time D’albain is a good outside each way bet. About 90/1 on Betfair at the mo.

Have we many League Of Ireland fans on here? I know gimmick is a Cork City fan. They host Shamrock Rovers tonight in a bumper match down at Turners Cross. Heard it's close to selling out. Game of the weekend.

I myself am a Bohs fan, love them despite the emotional roller coaster of last season! We have Bray Wanderers tonight. Did ya'll see the Bray Wyatt/Wanderers mix up on Twitter, class.

CSF is a Shels supporter. His team are stuck down in Division One which is a sh*t buzz but they'll be back at some stage.

    Anyone else?

I kinda follow Longford cause they'd be my home team, but seeing as I'm rarely in Longford too much I wouldn't be the most active of fans :P I generally just keep up with the results and the like.

I'm reasonably hopeful we'll get promoted, or at least be in the play-off spots by the end of the season. Had a decent run for most of last year until things went a bit pear shaped at the end.

Was a big Galway United man back in the day and have yet to head to a Galway FC due to Fridays being awful for me.

With it being Mania weekend I was tempted to go for one called Big Shu. :)

I'd actually meant to go to that Galway-Longford match there at the start of the season, but I was a bit bogged down with stuff myself.

Bohs fans in my family and I keep an eye out on their results but I'd be lying if I said I knew a great deal about what's going on. Any players that are worth keeping an eye out for in the side?

Drogheda United fan, though I hardly get to any games because I live too far away and don't drive, plus I train with the Gaa team on Fridays. Still I keep up with all the results and watch whatever games do be on the tv if I'm at nothing else.

Galway supporter here. Try to get to any of the games when I'm at home or they are in Dublin. Can be a painful experience.

One of my best friends plays with Drogheda so I go to their Dublin/Bray matches when I can.

Never really got into a Dublin team but go to the occasional Bray match as it's closest to me.

Damian Richardson doing commentary would drive you mad. Don't really support anyone but would keep an eye on results

He is shocking. No idea how he's been getting away with it so long.

I went to Dalymount for years as a kid and teenager. I was even on the Bohs underage teams. I haven't been in a good five years I'd say - but one of my mate Daniel is on the board of directors now. Really should get off me arse and head over some night.

Two good signings this season in Craig Walsh and Paddy Kavanagh. Craig Walsh was actually in the finals of Sky One's show 'Football's Next Star' which gave a contract at Inter Milan to the winner under manager at the time Jose Mourinho. Good strong player with a sensible head on his shoulders.

Kavanagh is a tasty little player, very tricky (think Damien Duff) and can score a cracker too. Other than that we have International capped Jason Byrne chasing the all time League record for top scorer and our own resident beast Dave Mulcahy at centre back. Not the best Bohs team ever but a lot of passion shown so far, which is great.

Limerick FC fan here. I work in Thomond Park. Get to see all the home games but don't get to many away ones.

Long season ahead for us :( Looking forward to the Tolouse game tomorrow/later today. Also Cork are visiting for the Munster Derby Monday. I fear for Limerick a last min equalizer tonight against UCD and we have to be very happy with a point.

Dundalk fan here. Unfortunately haven't gotten to a game this season yet due to other commitments but should make most home games from now on.

Event of the weekend is Toulon-Leinster IMO.

Here's their 4th goal from last night. They hammered the Champions. Great goal in injury time.

I was watching it alright. It was great last night but the Benny Hill music just makes it so much better :D

Ah gutted for Ulster losing that one. Would have been great if they managed to do the business.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

They can only blame the ref for so much. Harsh red but Pienaar and Jackson missed some massive kicks and Farrell was handing them the game on a silver platter. Great defence from Sarries in the dying phases.

You can't get away with playing with 14 men for over an hour in the Heineken Cup. If they had kept 15 on the pitch they would have won. Simple as that.
Re: the Airtricity League I don't follow any side. I'll stick to suffering from both the GAA teams in Galway.
