I've either done that or done something like that a few times. It happens if you're holding your phone above your head whilst lying down and particularly if your phone is heavy (like most "smart" phones are these days).

I dropped my phone in a bucket of my own vomit once. Doubt you can beat that.

    ^^

I cannot beat that. Which comforts me at this time, with my sore nose.Thank you.

If I'm remembering correctly, the "Post of the Day" has been in the Liverpool thread for 3 of the last 4 days or so :pac:

Dropped my phone down the toilet out of my shirt pocket when I was flushing. It was a week old.

If Flah was alive today (died when Brick Walsh shouldered him in a challenge match to save the Kenmare Rec Centre for Troubled Youths), he'd despise the fact another Fla is having a blinder for Liverpool.

Look up 'Mr Pickles' cartoon on YouTube or the likes. The most outlandish , disturbing and offensive thing ever. It's 11mins long and makes Family Guy/South Park look like Peppa Pig.

Season 3 isn't great, but the first two are amazing. Some amazing Simpsons style jokes in them.

I like it, but it's not as good as Archer. I know they aren't really comparable, but both have H Jon Benjamin.

I loved season one but completely lost interest in season two. Can't remember the last time I turned so quickly on a show.

Is the post of the day not the post which had the most likes the previous day???

Maybe we should create our own post and get everyone to like it thus bringing the title of post of the day to PW boards!!!

I know there are a few GAA fans on the board. What do you make of the deal with Sky?

'Exclusive GAA action here this evening on Sky as the titans of Westmeath take on the Roscommon juggernaut in what promises to be a monumental battle for the ages' etc.

I wish Apres Match was on now as they'd have great fun with this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,686 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

I haven't had a chance to read about the deal in full but I think it's a positive development.
Times change and Sky aren't the bogeymen they are made out to be.

I don't really buy the argument about people not being able to see their teams play...could they not get up out of the chair and...I dunno...GO to the game instead?

Edit:whatever about Roscommon and Westmeath, sky would have hyped the sh!te out of the Cats beating those nasty Tipp heathens in Nowlan Park last July

Don't understand Sky's reasoning for the GAA. Other than the finals and semis, the matches are pretty empty - can't be much money in the English market surely?

Sky have lost a ridiculous amount of subscribers in the last 4 years just from Ireland. I know there's a few Boardsies who work for Sky and might clarify but from what I hear it's been near 200,000 in the last 18 months cancelling Sport packages. Now with the Champions League rights gone and gradually losing Premier League rights to BT along with 50% of the Heineken Cup they badly needed something to hold Irish subscribers. Delighted TV3 lost them because their coverage was embarrassing. You're talking at times sub Setanta picture quality.

I haven't seen the specific financial details yet but from a GAA standpoint it's what they'd have wanted to get the game going internationally. To have grown up to the point where they are now with nothing in the way of marketing is an achievement. It won't turn GAA into Darts (sadly) but considering the lack of sport they suffer from against FTA rights they needed something.

As for being a fan of GAA myself it's a bit ****e not being able to see the same matches (legally) without heading to a pub but there has to come a point where these guys are getting some proper above board expenses, especially in the cruciate injury days. Losing Qualifiers and 2 Quarters is not the end of the world. It's in their interest to promote hurling and football so I'd be confident they'd do a decent job. If that Rachel Wyse is in the host's role expect some sub-Matt Cooper level questioning.

Did they get TV3's games? Guess that means a lot of Dublin games so.
Utd will be let down by not getting a win. Bayern play some fair dull football, typical Borediola stuff
