How the hell do you know which if them belongs as part of the staff. You have no idea of how good either of them are as coaches.

So because he took a job at the club he's supported all his life he's a twat? Him getting the job is Moyes fault not his.

Do you know if Gary even has the requisite coaching badges?

Its pretty ****ing pathetic isnt it?

2 goals at home in 7 games!!

    2 goals!!

When you see our attacking play tonight, particularly in the second half, that stat is not surprising. Zero imagination, zero creativity, and that is with two world class players leading the line (Rooney, Mata). I think he's lost the crowd tonight, and that is before we play the European champions twice.

I just hope the Glazers, Woodward, Fergie and Sir Bobby do the right thing, admit that for all his honest effort and good intentions, he is not the man for the job, and start to fix this mess for the good of the club.

Wonder how the marketing department will promote the season review DVD?

Picture of Moyes on the front holding the Community Shield
"At least we won more silverware than (Arsenal/Liverpool/Chelsea depending on how season finishes)"

Or ideally, Moyes will be sacked before it comes out and it will say "to show your grandchildren; The season United were sh*t"

Utd have the best away record in the league though. Any half decent form at home would have them top 4. How do you explain the home record.

Away record doesn't suggest that. Best in the league.

Only caught the goals now on SSN along with more depressing stats about new unwanted records being set by the team.

I see in the DM that stewards guarded the Chosen One banner to stop it being removed.

Yeah but who have we beaten away? Lost to anyone decent we played bar (typical post january) Arsenal and if we went to Anfield now instead of August we'd get pumped by 4 goals.

Mata and Fellani will be at United for years to come and IMO will form a central part to our return back to the top.

£65 Million or whatever it is, is an investment in players. Managers are more and more expendable these days, particularly one that is showing little sign of using those 2 investments anywhere near their potential.

We all know Moyes has great systems and is extremely prudent and obsessive with his signing picks, but he spent £65 Million and isn't getting any return on it, hardly confidence inspiring to give the man £100 Million! It could be Moyes is a man who is pretty good under tight resources, give him dream spending, and his talents just don't transfer.

A possible damning blow for Moyes could be Everton sneaking into 4th ahead of Arsenal. They are 6 points and 3 goals behind them with a game in hand.

Arsenal's next two games are City away, where City will be big favorites to win, and away to Everton after that.

Everton's next game is away to Fulham, which is very winnable, so Everton might be going into the Arsenal game 3 points off 4th and the goal difference made up.

Arsenal have a fairly reasonable final 5 games, while Everton have United and City at home, and Southampton away.

Everton getting 4th won't do Moyes any favours.

the defence is a sham.i dont balme moyes. its definitely the players. we have no pace in that team apart from welbeck and valencia and young. rafael is dirt i would get rid of him. he is too fond of jumping in .ferdinand is past it along with vidic . we need about 5 players.i hope he buys tony kroos in the summer and either baines or Coleman. we need a hole new back line vidic possibly ferdinand and evra going in the summer.that would cause alot of uncertainty in the team i would imagine

Judging by the reaction of 'The Humour Thread' and Social Media, they should market it to fans of other teams and make an absolute killing which would in turn replace the money lost by a lack of Champions League football.

While there's nothing surprising about this Manchester United losing to Liverpool and Man City at home, the fact that we can't even get on the score sheet in these games is terrifying.

Fellaini, Carrick and Cleverley. Well if that isn't just throwing enough plaster at a wall with a blindfold on hoping to cover 1 or 2 cracks, i don't know what is. When was this ingenuity previously tried out and tested? Everything got fúcked at the wall tonight; Kagawa at 45 mins, Valencia running kms to nowhere, long balls to a late-introduced Chico, Wayne Rooney furiously taking it upon himself to try to claw something back in the last 10 minutes, yep, everything but DDG coming up for a last minute corner. And nothing, once again Moyes shows 0 against one of the big teams. One of those teams who we were 10+ points ahead of at this time last year.

Back in August when looking forward to the season, never in my 'worst case scenario' predictions would I have thought "hard times ahead" would mean anything like what we are being subjected to now. There is no way that those in charge at the club could have predicted the same. If they did, they never would have went this way in the first place.

With the level Moyes has the club at now, it is something that I would have banked on the club being safe from happening for at least 3 seasons post-Ferguson in a worst case scenario, example...

Season 1; Finish 4th comfortably enough with a few speed wobbles costing us 2nd/3rd, exit CL in last 16, semi/final in domestic trophies, maybe win one.

Season 2; Finish 5-6th in the league after fighting up to last few games for top 4, exit CL in group stages, QF in domestic trophies. (In my scenario here we get CL football for the next season because a top 4 club won the CL and we clinched 5th spot!)

Season 3; Finish 7th/8th in the league after occupying 7th for most of the season. Fluke a CL QF appearance but get killed along with embarrassing early exits in domestic cups. Home defeats becoming the norm with us netting just 18 goals in the league at OT resulting in title chance lost by Christmas, top 4 gone by February and the media blaming players who are either past it or were never up to it in the first place.

Despite my confidence last August that United would react positively to Ferguson's departure, I still pictured what a worse case scenario would be like since that was all the ABUs could talk about now that Sir Alex was gone. Those 3 seasons above were something along what I would have mapped out to be a bad reaction to Ferguson's departure, but sadly seasons 1 and 2 never even happened, and season 3 is the current reality that David Moyes oversees at the club.

There's some new players needed to be brought in, and just as many let go, but even still I strongly feel that these players are capable of much better performances as both individuals and as a team. IMO, there are only 2 players who haven't regressed to some extent under David Moyes. These are David DeGea and Wayne Rooney. I can't count Adnan, as I have no previous season of him playing at senior level to compare him to.

The buck stops with the manager and he has had 31 league games of 'time' to show what he is capable of bringing Manchester United to. He has shown that alright and for that reason I think he needs to be replaced by May. At this point, the board must be in the process of finding a successor to David Moyes and looking at the money it will take to both buy him out and also secure the ideal replacement.

However back in reality, I fear the board have no intention of doing that and will be using next season as the real litmus test for Moyes once he gets to spend £100m+ on his own players. Sure at least if we were playing Cardiff, West Brom and West Ham away each week we'd top that table, at least we have that going for us.

Still can't quite figure out why Fellaini and Cleverley were wingers last night, they never had a hope, this manager is clueless.

Oliver Holt (a guy I dont particularly like) but has hit the nail on the head today with an article bascially asking does anyone know what Moyes Man Utd are??

I touched on this weeks ago as it's gasping how there is no philosophy, direction or system communicated or obvious that Moyes has put across.

how can something be fixed when no one knows what they should be?

he had that glazed look again last night and really out of his dept...not that we're complaining.

Paul Scholes on Sky last night expressed significant respect for Morinho basically saying that the main reason that Chelsea have a chance in the league is because of him. He would never say it but I reckon that h also thinks that United made a mistake in the choice of Moyes.

My problem all along was that a small number in the club (Fergie, Charlton, Gill etc) seemed to decide that they didn't want Morinho and also seemed to dispense with a process of really looking at what a club like United needed going forward and look at options. It seems as if Ferguson decided that Moyes was similar to himself and that this would therefore be an appropriate appointment. Probably being simplistic here but the process seems to have been very limited.

As indicated above, all the support of Ferguson and Charlton might not mean much if the Glaziers see Moyes as a significant liability. I supported United through the relegation to div 2. In my opinion if this demise continues unabated it will have a more significant effect on the clubs standing than that relegation. Rightly or wrongly much more competition and short term pressure out there

How that Utd team didn't get beat by more is the strange thing. Rafael is one of the worst players I've ever seen, how many times this season has he ran forward like a headless chicken and then crossed the ball into the stand?? Lucky not to have been two red cards in the first half aswell.

There was obviously no ambition and intent in the team, the start proved that. I was sitting with my mates at the start and when they were all lining up in the tunnel and all the players being so nicey nice to each other and shaking hands and hugging. Can you have seen that in a team with someone like Roy Keane or a Viera in it? No chance. No fight from the team and it has to stem from the manager not getting the most from the players.

As a Liverpool fan have to say im getting really worried that United could sack Moyes any day now. Find it mind boggling they haven't already tbh.

why the end though? We apparently already have two signings tied up according to reports, obviously sanctioned by Moyes. Why not get a fresh face in who can put his mark on the team, we need a HUGE transfer window not a mess of a window like Moyes' first window.

Plus I don't believe this 200m crap. I can't see the club spending that kind of money this summer. Centre half, left back and centre mid or two will come in for around 100m with six or so going out for maybe 20.

If that's the case we need someone who can manage what he has better and integrate those new players. Moyes has shown to date he has no clue how to do that.

This is not an Everton scenario where he has a stable team adding one or two a season. He's got a big restructuring job and I don't think he's up to it.
