Sochaux are without their Zambian CB Sunzu... huge blow for them as he's easily their best player, I thought unders in the Sochaux game was almost a banker, but now it doesn't look too good... it's strange cuz he was in the squad, and now he's not even on the bench

Cheers for the update. Was going to back under 3.5 in this.

I think Leicester look a cert tomorrow; Ipswich's top goal scorer is ruled out and they don't look very threatening at all without him.
Leicester also have a great home record with just the one loss to Forest this season and I can't see them being held goal-less.

I think Reading are going to out-gun an average rovers side, winning last 3/4 (loss coming after red card very early) and they made light work of promotion hopefuls QPR last week.

Burnley v Forest - BTTS Yes - Burnley's striking force of Vokes and Ings continue to terrorize defences in the championship and forest have looked leaky lately. BTTS comes up an awful lot in forest games and I don't think it will be any different here.
Forest have scored in their last 12 championship games and Burnley in 11/14. I think 5/6 here is a great bet.

My final selection - BTTS NO - Chelsea v Everton: With Lukaku unavailable I think everton might struggle to score at stamford bridge..
Everton are winless in their last four away matches in the Premier League and have lost their last two without scoring.
The Blues also have the best defensive record in the top flight, conceding only 21 goals in 26 games and keeping 11 clean sheets.
I have won a good bit of money backing Chelsea Win-To-Nil this season and this bet is available at 6/4. I'm going to go for the safer BTTS No - In the event of a 0-0 Draw. Terry is back for Chelsea and I can see them coming back strong after the defeat to City.

    Leicester - 8/13
    Reading - 1/1
    Forest/Burley - BTTS YES - 5/6
    Chelsea/Everton - BTTS NO - 5/6

The 4-Timer comes out at slightly under 10/1.
Forest/Burnley BTTS & Leicester Win is my double at 2/1.
    Good luck chaps.

Double comes up in the end, with reading letting the 4-timer (3/4) down.
    Leicester won comfortably as expected.

    Double: http://gyazo.com/2e854e776aa615b9397f43cb302621ae

Under 2.5 in Valenciennes vs Sochaux @ 1.57
    Valenciennes 2-1 @ 7.75

HUGE game for both teams with a lot at stake. Both teams are fighting for survival, if Valenciennes win, they'll leave the relegation zone and leave Sochaux (direct opponents for survival) 6 points behind; if Sochaux win, they'll go level on points with Valenciennes and will have a realistic chance of survival, a loss for Sochaux would be a disaster for them, a draw would be okay. This should be a very tight game, with only one goal (if any) deciding the outcome of this game, under 3.5 is almost a sure bet imo.

I've already said many times that Sochaux have improved a lot since they signed a new GK, LB, CB, and DM, their defense is pretty decent atm, while their attack is still ineffective; they did well away to Lyon and Lille - much stronger teams than Valenciennes.

2-2  Sochaux are really a different team without Sunzu at the back... very generous penalty given to Valenciennes too

anyway, moving on... PSG away to Toulouse tomorrow

Blanc said he might pick the same starting 11 as the Leverkusen game. PSG have always beaten Toulouse even under Ancelotti when they played terrible football. Monaco won 2-0 in Toulouse, so it's hard to see PSG not winning too, unless every PSG player underestimates Toulouse big time... The Toulouse coach said he wants to keep the ball (good luck with that :pac:) and he doesn't seem to want to park the bus like he did away to Monaco (0-0), if that's true then I can see only one outcome - an easy PSG win.

PSG to score in both halves @ 2.20

    Real Madrid v Elche

Madrid seem to have come back from the winter break much more of a team and have been quite solid at the back. The stats back this up. Out of the 13 games played since the winter break they have kept 11 clean sheets. Add to this Elche being one of the lowest scoring teams in the league.
Real Madrid to win to nil @ 1.61

Also 11 of them 13 games have seen under 3.5 goals. The unders market is good value with any game madrid are involved in. Bearing in mind Ronaldo and Modric, probably madrids two most important players, are out of this game.
    Madrid and Under 3.5 goals @ 2.30

Even under 4.5 seems good value and may be a decent one to put in accas @1.44

Hope someone followed. Definitely seems to be money to be won on madrid and unders at the moment anyway.

What do we make of Tottenham? 23/20 with B365, think it's a bit of a crazy price given Norwich's form in general and Spurs away form.

They are Spurs of course, and there is the mid week game but with Adebayor and Eriksen coming back into the squad it will add a lot more to them going forward.

    Anyone else got any thoughts?

Ath Bilbao 13/10 Away to Betis.
Betis played at home Thurs in Europa lge, and are missing both their main strikers. Bilbao currently 4th in la liga will press for champs lge spot.

PSG with the same line up as the Leverkusen game!

    Toulouse with their usual 3-5-2 / 5-3-2

Tottenham havn't won a game in league in which the week they played in Europe.

    Liverpool v Swansea

Half time handicap -1 13/5 - Medium Stake
As I've stated and many of ye know Liverpool tend to start games extremely fast (especially at Anfield) and I feel they will come flying out of the traps here. Bet has collected in their last 2 home games (where they were winning 3-0 and 4-0 respectively) against far better opposition.

    Liverpool -1 8/11 - Large Stake
They have been very good this season at beating teams at Anfield. This bet has in fact collected in their last 9 league wins at Anfield. They managed to beat Swansea 5-0 at Anfield last season and I can see a similar score here.

Strange you say that. They've won twice this season after playing in Europe the preceding Thursday. They are certainly value today again away from home.

Suarez (Insurebet 1st goalscorer) @6/5 a real opportunity to end his goal drought.

    20 on this

    Any thoughts on tottenham?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 889 ✭✭✭JonnyM

Spurs have won four and lost none of their six Premier League trips to Carrow Road.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Johan Elmander have produced just one goal and six shots on target between them this season, despite playing a combined total of 1961 minutes in the Premier League.

Only Chelsea and man city have more points than spurs while norwich linger in the bottom 3 form table.

Arggh they were a shambles defensively but Gerrard still hit the post in the 90th minute. Oh well onto the next one

Lille home win at 23/20 (have won 9/12 at home this season and Lyon played an away Europa League match during the week)
Osasuna double chance 6/4 (they've gotten draws against Barca and Real at home this season - Atletico lost their last away league game and played a European game mid-week. They're were quite lucky to win that match by all accounts.)

    Lyon DNB @ 2.10
    Lyon double chance @ 1.60

    Lacazette wincast @ 7.50

    - Lyon rested almost their entire team in the Europa League to prepare for this game
    - Lyon badly need 3 pts as they want to get the final CL spot (3rd place), and they're 5 pts behind St Etienne (3rd). Lille are level on points with St Etienne
    - Lyon are in good form, and have won in difficult grounds like Bastia, Reims and Nantes
    - Lille are nothing special imo
    - Lille are missing Basa - their strongest CB

Kind of funny how we look at it from two different angles....although I didn't know they'd rested their first team in the europa league.

My Osasuna bet is a dead cert now as they're 3-0...decided to cash out on paddy power for a small loss in the Lille Lyon game.
