    It's looking mote and more likely that T2 (AA2+) is the problem and that anyone with DVB-T (AA2) is ok.

    I downloaded an AR-P image from Lavatronics (Feb 18th) and tried to scan the terrestrial channels, same problem as your image, got all the channels except RTE1, RTE1+1 (requires rescan).

    No, Spark offers very little customisation, it's completely locked down

    interesting read to how Engima2 is built and how it hangs together

    this is for dreambox so presume it will be very simialr to AA, but still an interesting read

    Yeah, but Enigma is developed for different hardware and is then hacked to run on this box which is why there is bugs

    But you can set up lists of channels, into bouquets. You can use "Sparkfavlisteditor" on your pc, which is similar to dreamboxedit for enigma. It will allow you to arrange the channels as you wish.

    The advantage of autobouquets is that you don't have to, it runs on a schedule and replaces those that change frequency

    Ok, I was giving spark a try due to the fact i can mount my nas. Not a patch visually on enigma. Now the Missus is complaining about UI so its back to enigma I go.
    Once I figure out how to mount my nas and we figure the saorview issue, I will have the perfect setup.
    I use AA2+ (T2)

    Am trying Champions image. (I have the AA2+ box)
    having issues tuning terrestial. As others have found. First tuning, I got the Mux 2 channels. Tried manual tune, loading a saved lamedb with the channels. couldn't get any more.
    Rescanned and cleared, and I got the Mux 1 channels, but not the mux 2 ones. Seems its one or the other, as per other user comments.

    Yeah I get the exact same thing. But did notice that if get the mux 1 channels. The old rte 1 and rte +1 are available it just says they need to be rescinded.. It's a short term work around..

    When I was scanning in terrestrial channels I noticed the following. When scanning it says DVB-T Auto then channel number, well when it gets to channel 33 it says DVB-T QAM64 then channel number.

    Is there any relevance to this?

    just says , press ok to expand/collapse but shows no content.

    same on both arp/hyperion image?

    any ideas are greatly appreciated.
    I have the same problem. Even though I mount my NAS and direct the box to the correct forler, it does not show up in Media player.

    Hyperion V3 has a sort of work around though.

    Press menu, go the the pkteam blue panel. Go to network. There is a DNLA server and DNLA client in there.

    Start the DNLA client.

    Now go to your media player and your NAS should be there under upnp.

    Hope this helps. If you need any more info just ask.

    I was messing about with things and tried doing a manual scan in AR-P and suddenly noticed that although I told it to scan 546000, the scanning screen kept saying 474000 and nothing was ever found.

    Below is a copy of a Terrestrial Only LAMEDB file. One mux is 03e9 while the other is 03ea. Maybe you could construct your own from this ?

    hi, does any know how to update tsmedia for the new HDMU image on the AA2+?
    i can ftp the plugin and it works, however it's not fully working with streams. it looks as if the librtmp.so.0 that comes with tsmedia 4.9 doesn't work with HDMU on the AA2+, when i install the new librtmp.so.0 and reboot, i get stuck in the boot cycle and i can only get out of the cycle if i flash the image or if i manage to replace the old librtmp.so.0 via ftp. even when i install the ipk file via telenet the results are the same. having the old librtmp.so.0 makes my streams timeout after 4 or 5 mins. i can't update in tsmedia either, it downloads but after a reboot it's still the same tsmedia i started with. i have tried it with a few versions of tsmedia but it still won't update the librtmp.so.0 nor the plugin it's self. has anyone had this issue?

    And are you running his arp image and able to view all the channels?

    That's Champs ARP with all channels working from Kippure. I note mine doesn't have all the RTÉNL stuff in Champs. it goes straight to the satellite listings.

    Here's my full Lamedb if you want to try it.

    I suppose the interesting thing here is that while the frequency changes, the 03e9 and 03ea doesn't. Therefore, it might be quite possible to use my file for any part of the country and simply change the frequency and then go and scan your satellite channels.

    I have an Amiko Alien 2 box and am using championc's image. I tried this last weekend to get the terrestrial up and running. I am based in the North West and receive Freeview and Soarview. Freeview from the Strabane Freeview Transmitter and Soarview from Holywell Hill in Donegal with two separate aerials.

    I have obtained the technical information for each transmitter at this website

    Strabane - http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=IH393947
    Holywell Hill - http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=NV548806

    After some reading on other forums this is what I have tried.

    I discovered that there is a file called terrestrial.xml which is saved in /etc/tuxbox.

    This is what mine looks like.

    <terrestrial name="Strabane: DVB-T Frequencies" flags="5">

    <transponder centre_frequency="546000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="1" code_rate_hp="2" code_rate_lp="6" guard_interval="0" transmission_mode="0" hierarchy_information="0" inversion="2" />

    <transponder centre_frequency="506000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="1" code_rate_hp="2" code_rate_lp="6" guard_interval="0" transmission_mode="0" hierarchy_information="0" inversion="2" />

    <transponder centre_frequency="641999999" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="665999998" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="618000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    </terrestrial>

    I have found that when searching for channels it searches the 1st frequency and ignores all others. Therefore in my case it has found the Soarview channels on 546 Mhz from Holywell Hill. I then opened DreamBoxEdit and took a look at the Terrestrial channels. See attachment (DreamBoxEdit-Soarview.jpg). I exported this file from DreamBoxEdit as a txtfile backup as txtfile1.txt. I then edited the terrestrial.xml file and removed the soarview channels and uploaded the amended terrestrial.xml file to the alien 2.

    <terrestrial name="Strabane: DVB-T Frequencies" flags="5">

    <transponder centre_frequency="641999999" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="665999998" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="618000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    </terrestrial>

    I (cold rebooted) restarted the box by powering off at the back and powering on again. A reboot from the menu did not work. I then done a search on 642 Mhz 1st. It found UTV, C4, C5 etc but it did not scan the BBC channels on 666 Mhz or the HD channels on 618 Mhz.

    I loaded this up on DreamBoxEdit and exported this txt file as txtfile2.txt with these channels in it. I then edited the terrestrial.xml file again and moved the channels at 642 Mhzand uploaded the amended terrestrial.xml file to the alien 2 like this.

    <terrestrial name="Strabane: DVB-T Frequencies" flags="5">

    <transponder centre_frequency="665999998" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="641999999" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    <transponder centre_frequency="618000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>

    </terrestrial>

    This time when the alien 2 started I done a search again. This time it found the BBC channels and not UTV, C4, C5 etc like the last time. Again I opened up DreamBoxEdit and exported this txt file as txtfile3.txt with these channels in it.

    I opened the files txtfile1.txt, txtfile2.txt and txtfile3.txt in Notepad++ and added the Soarview and Freeview Channels together at the bottom and saved it as txtfile4.txt. See attachment.

    I imported these back into DreamBoxEdit and saved them back over to the Alien 2. I also sent the original terrestrial.xml file back to the alien 2 and save it in /etc/tuxbox. I cold restarted the alien 2 and waited for it to start......

    It started and I only had the Soarview channels and no Freeview. They are listed but they are greyed out I can only watch the Soarview channels. I opened DreamBoxEdit and have noticed that the freeview channels are listed as cable and the soarview channels are listed as terrestrial.

    This is as far as I got. This took me all about 6 hours or so to do so hopefully it points someone in the right direction.

    I use one with a GM Triplex, so you should be fine.

    For the Triplex I do still have an intermittent deep standby issue where the box becomes unresponsive but I now use the standby plugin to set the box to deep standby at 6am, the hard drive seems to spin down then too and I cut power via a timed socket from 6.30 - 8.30 am, the box then reboots when power is restored. I think there's a hard drive standby option too somehwere in the settings.

    So far so good for me anyway.

    Sound.
    I just picked up a timed socket today so will set this up when I get the box.
    I'm looking at the western digital elements 1tb USB powered HD.

    I'll read up on the standby plugin you mentioned. I might be better off turning it off from 2am to 7am to save on power as I will never be using the box at those times.

    Thx for the info.

    That's probably it, I don't use my box for steaming but I remember before when I was trying it out the second tuner would stay disabled til I rebooted.

    As there's no knowing what update is causing it to stick your best bet would be to flash a new image on it. Championc has one fully set up in his signature. Then stay away from software update!
