have tried but to no avail, think i need to telnet to box with commands, which is a bit over my head tbh, annoying as nas usually broadcasts to everything in house, tv phone ps laptop etc without any bother?

    have tried

    mkdir /media/Nsa325v2
    mount -t cifs -o ro,username=admin,password=***** //192.168.1.20/media/Nsa325v2

    mount: can't find //192.168.1.20/media/Nsa325v2 in /etc/fstab

    double dutch to me!!

I have a folder on my nas called satbox. //192.168.0.50/satbox
    To mount this
    mkdir /media/satbox
    mount -t cifs //192.168.0.50/satbox /media/satbox -o, rw,user=username, pass=password

That will mount it, but it will disappear after a reboot

Does anyone want to give a test image a try on their AA2+ (DVB-T2) Box ? There is a folder called Test_A2_Image in my Download Link. If someone can give it a shot and let us know if it solves the Saorview Scanning issue. I have scanned absolutely nothing with this image.

Does anyone have an IPK for TransmissionBT http://www.transmissionbt.com you can download it under plugins in the HV3 image but there is so sign of it in ARP.

This is a great plugin I have the eztv app on my phone and you can just send the files to this to download them straight to the box and watch.

Hi, I have just tried the new image and my terrestrial scan was successful for the first time... RTE1, RTE1+1, RTE2, TV3, 3e, TG4, RTE News Now, RTE Junior.

One other thing the RTE player now works but intermittent sound.

Am still waiting on divert of my Alien.
It's not a problem as I have Sky for another 3 weeks.

I am going to hook up my Iomega screenplay plus HD 1tb drive to use for recording.
I have read that for loading images using small USB drives it's best to have the drive formatted as FAT32. Does the same apply to an external USB disk for recording or will NTFS work just as well?

Ext3 or ext4 formatted hard drives work best for recording.

    Thx, I'll look into that.
From memory I think windows built in software will only format to FAT or NTFS, but no doubt I'll be able to format it to Linux FS alright.

A lot of people recommend using a Linux boot disc and formatting it from there, apparently that's the most reliable method.
I had no issues using applications such as Paragon partition manager and using the ext2fsd driver on Windows 7 and 8 boxes.
    YMMV.

So do you definitely have a DVB-T2 based box ? And did you have a problem before ?

There is an option in Spark to initialise the hdd, which will do the trick.

I have the Amiko Alien 2+ (T2 Terrestrial) box.

Yes, I had a problem with the terrestrial channels from your last image. When I uploaded the new image without the channels, I scanned terrestrial first and I got them all. When I switched off the unit for a couple of hours and came home later two channels had problems... RTE1 and RTE1+1, I could see the channels but the EPG info gave the Saorview message about rescanning the channels. I have tried that but to no avail.

Also on the last image I could see the programmes on the RTE player but when I tried to play them, it wouldn't allow me. The new image allows me to play the programs but the sound is intermittent.

Might be worth reflashing the image, and then when you scan and get all the channels take a copy over to your pc of the lame.db file. Then power off and on the the box, you'll probably have lose the half the channels again so copy over and replace the lamedb file on the box with the one you saved. No idea if that'll work but it seems to have a problem saving them so maybe this will be the workaround.

Yes have dvb-t2 box. 2 sat tuners and one terrestrial tuner. It's works no problem in spark. I think the problem is something to do with switching mux. I can get one or the other but not both. I'm not the only person having this issue..
I wonder if there is different versions of the dvb - t2 boxes

It's looking mote and more likely that T2 (AA2+) is the problem and that anyone with DVB-T (AA2) is ok.

    Even better.

I'm wondering should I ditch the AC powered 1TB drive and get a USB powered one instead.
I am thinking the power consumption of the AA+, the USB drive and the probable Powerline (should the wi-fi dongle not be up to scratch) will be fairly large.

Are USB powered drives OK to work on the AA+ (thru a USB hub) as a recording device?

    That's doesnt sound good.
I pre-ordered the AA2+, do you think I'd be better off going with the AA2?

I've an aa2 and a GMT (dvb-t)and they both have the problem.

I use one with a GM Triplex, so you should be fine.

For the Triplex I do still have an intermittent deep standby issue where the box becomes unresponsive but I now use the standby plugin to set the box to deep standby at 6am, the hard drive seems to spin down then too and I cut power via a timed socket from 6.30 - 8.30 am, the box then reboots when power is restored. I think there's a hard drive standby option too somehwere in the settings.

So far so good for me anyway.

Is auto bouquets available in spark?
Also can spark skin/layout be changed?
