    Is it just me or does anyone else find Monthy Python not funny? I did like Fawlty Towers but none of the Monthy stuff.

    Yea, I should have remembered- I taped Larry Googans Top 20 from the radio back then and that was on it, along with Jealous Guy by Roxy music and Woman/John Lennon and More and More by Joe Dolan of all things- all on the same tape- where would ya be, eh?:D

    I've always thought that. Monty Python involves raising your voice two octaves and that is the sum total of the "comedy"

    Yes always heated but I never remember anyone being escorted out. The families of some of the loopers who were on must have been morto the following day :D

    Love Monty Python (the bits I get), but every one of his films that I've seen reeeeallly didn't do it for me. Could only handle about twenty minutes of that Brazil one.

    The problem with Larry was he'd talk all over the song before the end. I could swear the fecker did it on purpose, so we'd have to go into Golden Discs and spend £2 for the single :mad:

    In fairness though, the things that provoked people back then AND that got AirPlay and column inches in the Sunday papers wouldn't get a mention today

    Sher wasn't that every feicin DJ back then?
    They were probably told to do it by the record companies :D

    Didn't stop me taping though - bought loads of albums but very little singles back then
