The Late Late Show February 21st

Early, but they released the hounds, I mean guests....

"Daniel O'Donnell's wife Majella will be give her first interview on Friday night's Late Late Show since her recent double mastectomy.
Tom Curran will also talk to host Ryan Tubridy about life after Marie Fleming, who fought and lost a lengthy legal battle for the right to end her own life before she passed away at the end of last year.
Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, film director and Monty Python member Terry Gilliam, and model Roz Purcell are also on the show.
The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Fridays at 9.35pm"

So double misery to counteract the actually good and interesting guest, Terry Gilliam and Richard Dreyfuss, 'Do you still keep in touch with the shark?'

Majella O'Donnell and Tom Curran are worthwhile guests, but having them both on the same show will make the show unbalanced.

Richard Dreyfuss is a terrific actor but he has been know to be a difficult interviewee. It might be wise to prepare your 'behind the couch' area in advance. Terry Gilliam is a good guest, but God knows what Mr T will be like with him.

Jaws, Oscars, Bi-Polar Disease,Monty Python, Euthanasia, Cancer, Modelling Stuff and Daniel O'Donnell - it's a regular LLS but it would be the most bizarre edition of any other talk show in the world.

And that's it in a nutshell Skid......:)

He actually died on the side of the road somewhere around Castlebar. He fell ill while driving and pulled over before having a heart attack.

Ryan's first question to Terry Gilliam: 'So what was the inspiration for Discworld?'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,990 ✭✭✭squonk

So Terry, what do you think the Life Of Brian would have been like if it was set in Ireland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Music tonight from Bob Geldof's Live Aid cheeky sidekick and former Ultravox singer, it's Midge Ure

And who could forget Keith Hanley's triumph at last years Voice of Ireland? ... ... ... << tumbleweed >> ... ... ... Anyway, he's performing tonight
and he'll be bagging you to watch

And from the RTE LLS Music Showcase thing, it's new music from Corner Boy. They'll go far, they have already been schmoozing in the RTE canteen with proper A-Listers
In the famous RTE canteen. Matthew went with Traditional cottage pie and chips. For anyone who is near the wireless at 7pm tonight we will be playing our debut single Ghost town city live on RTE Radio1.

P.s Just saw Paul from fair city. Can't believe it. Livin the dream.

    C.B!

Gilliam's new flick 'The zero theorem' looks good. I likes a bit a sci-fi....
He's one of the few filmmakers who pushes the envelope instead of safe bets.....Of course Tubbs will be all Monty Python, 'Is the Parrot actually dead?'

At some point, he'll refer to them as a bunch of 'messers' who like 'acting the maggot'.

    Song for later-
Show me the way to go home,
I'm tired and I wanna go to bed,
I had a little drink about an hour ago,
And it's gone right through my head,
    Oh..etc

    :D

All respect to her but why do RTE insist on having guests on with serious illnesses?

If they didn't the entertainment side of the show wouldn't even be as long as Graham Nortons.

I think "filler" is the word. Nothing better to put on.
Wish her all the best in her recovery but twice in a couple of months is kind of taking the p1ss. On a so called light entertainment show.
