    Same way as how you flash an image, use the spark upgrade plugin but select backup e2 instead of upgrade. It'll create two files on your usb, use them then if you want to flash it again.

    No its not a separate plugin, it should be in the upgrade plugin. In the upgrade plugin you should be able to press the red button to upgrade and the green button to backup. If you don't see that you must have an old version of the plugin.

    It's a good idea to get into the habit of searching the thread when you have a question as a lot of questions have been asked, and answered, many times before.

    To search the thread scroll to the Top of the page and click 'Search this Thread'. A search for 'e2upgrade plugin' will list all previous posts where that was discussed and I have no doubt you will find your answer.

    Go to my Download Link. In there you'll find a folder called "plugin". Copy this folder to the root of a USB stick, boot into Spark, Insert the stick and say Yes to upgrade Plugins

    i have reflashed using your image and i am getting only rte 1 and rte new now, but for the other saroview channels i get the following error "service not found (SID not found in PAT)" i did notice that when i swtiched to theses channels the display did not update so if i was rte1 and moved to rte2 i would get the error and it would still say rte1.

    i did read somewhere here that there is a bug that this image wouldnt change mux. it stays on one.

    a rescan does not pick up the changes either

    Delete the lamedb file from your box (use filezilla or telnet) and rescan from scratch.

    i have a nas (zyxel nsa 325) on network,
    when i try to find it using network browser it gets found, ask me do i want to input user/password, which i do, then when connected it shows as empty,
    just says , press ok to expand/collapse but shows no content.

    same on both arp/hyperion image?

    any ideas are greatly appreciated.

    I finally got around to trying your image tonight, I am having the same problem as above. I deleted lamedb but no matter what CH I scan it just keeps pulling in the same 19CH RTE TWO etc..

    Any ideas?

    I've a problem when doing this.

    I can install the plugins fine, when i go to menu>>plugin, i see plugin_e2upgrade.s, however when i press ok on it to start the plugin, the screen flashes and i'm brought back to the screen and the plugin hasn't started.

    Any thoughts?

    Thought that might happen. It seems to have other dependencies so I have now uploaded the whole folder. It seems to have loads of other stuff in it. Just download it again.

    Sorry but I don't know what has happened to the image re Three Rock. I wonder are you guys on AA2+'s or maybe GM's / SAB's ?

    Mine is a GM anyway it must be something to do with the T2 tuner

    Not sure about that either, I think people with the t2+ tuners have the problem as well.

    One oddity I have found before with my AA2 running hyperion v3 was when I had it plugged into a surge protected extension lead I could only get one mux but once I plugged it straight into the wall it was fine again. Perhaps the mux problem is power related.

    Unfortunately it didn't matter if I had the box directly on the wall or not for the arp image but it's worth a try I suppose.

    what is difference between v3 and v2 that the reciever is having issues switching between MUX. as it worked in v2.

    what channels are on MUX 1 and on MUX 2 as scanning both freq for three rock i get 18 channels and both are the same list of channels. is everyone using this image in three rock having the same issue.
    i have an alien2+ box



    its woth noting championc AR-P image is a great image its very stable and responsive and most importantly it pasted the misses test.. she likes it and can understand it..

    Running championc's latest AR-P.
    Did a s/w update through the menu => update s/w
    Seemed to update ok, however got stuck booting (on the amiko screen with the coloured cubes).
    Booted spark and reloaded the AR-P image.
    Working ok.
    Did a s/w update again through the menu, stuck booting again.
    Any ideas (other than don't update it):D?

    That's the million dollar question, nobody seems to know, at least nobody who has experienced the problem anyway.

    Your quite right there, it's the snappiest image I've used so far, bar the saorview problem (which not everyone experiences) it wins hands down against all the others.

    Hyperion v3.5 is due out this month so hopefully that'll be an image to rival arp in the speed stakes.

    Just looking for some advise on Broadband speeds,
    I'm currently using 3 mobile BB and get speeds up to 3 Mbps but lately less than 1mbps, but my ping is usually very low 60-200
    I'm looking at getting satellite BB from Digiweb who offer up to 20mbps but with a Ping of 600-1200 usually around 750 on average,
    So can anyone advise which is better for streaming on my Alien 2 speed or ping?

    i will have a play around with the channel config later this evening.

    from the below thread i am only getting channels on MUX 2 and none of the channels on MUX 1.

    Strange thing I noticed with my Amiko Alien and a previous 'freezing' issue. Up to a few weeks ago I was contantly getting channels freezing on me when watching them. Recording programmes was a lucky dip as to if the whole program would play back without any freezing issue.. It was getting very annoying but I just kept using the box for TS Media as that is what I use it most for anyway.

    About 3 weeks ago a lot of the channels on my bouquets where greyed out. Ended up reinstalling the channels and running Auto Bouquets and got all the channels back. However CrossEPG would not work so I uninstalled it and when I tried to reinstall it I kept getting an error message about "OPKG Update". Anyway I have got around to trying to resolve the issue but the strange thing is that I am getting no more freezing on my channels. Is it possible that CrossEPG could have been the culprit ???

    speed would be more important for streaming and ping important for oscam - if you are using it

    No, you'll have to change it yourself, I never got around to making another backup with this change. If you need any help let me know, it's a simple enough to do.

    You change all the aeps values to from 30 to 50 in the etc/lircd.conf file.

    Here's a copy of mine if you want to just replace yours with it. Just remember to unzip it before copying over the file.

    I changed the eps settings on my box last weekend. Its surprising the difference it makes.
    I too had problems with saorview on champions ARP image (have the t2+). tried it a few times with different solutions to no avail. However, am happy with H3.

    Just a quick clarification folks - DVB-T2 = AA2+

    The ordinary AA2 = DVB-T

    I'll make a Fresh AR-P image tonight with NOTHING scanned and the latest build and we can see if this resolves things for the unhappy campers
