that is absolutety disgusting. Putting thousands of people under the one umbrella, many perhaps have never been to croke park for a match or concert, and labelling Garth Brooks fans as scumbags.

As I said, lots of people following this thread.

    I hope the concerts elsewhere.

What is the problem and issue in relation to the promotors - Aiken promotions - when the issues from the residents lie squarely with Croke Park.

Ah lads, I'm mean what do you even say to this?????

    Where do you suggest?
Btw, you are aware this was discussed at length a few pages back but none the less, carry on.

Its only a pity Swedish House Mafia have disbanded, I'd love to see the residents reaction to them getting the 3 non-sporting spots next year!! Maybe Tiesto or someone will be available
yeah, i'd go see tiesto, only if he plays his old stuff though, his new stuff is rubbish, his live in concert 2004 DVD is simply magic

I've yet to see any evidence of this.

Then why are they hiding and not saying very much at all ?

Is that the one in Eindhoven with the circular stage?? Have that DVD, its class.

    Perhaps they're preparing their application

At last. Seeing sense. If the ploughing championship crew can do it, surely Aiken can splash out and hire the same experts and hold the gigs AND as many of them as they like in a more suitable area with acres of parking that won't affect so many people.

The Phonix Park is a lovely area. At least it's not included in my list of dirty, run down kips of Dublin.

No problems with Aiken our beef is with Stadium management and them reneging on both the 1998 agreement and also the 2009 agreement... So now it's open season and we got Croker in our sights!!!

Ah sure why would you want to come to the dirty kip that is dublin if you hate the place and people . Would you not be better off staying where you are and listening to your beloved redneck on a cd ?

You really are quite, quite charming.
Best to stay within your own parish so and listen to your "CD's" of GB, I mean we wouldn't want you running the risk, now would we?

    Damn you smiley lol

RiverOfLove, there's no need to be nasty, you don't know Dublin, and you don't have a list of places in Dublin, I'd say you've seen about 2% of your own capital.... You're ignorance has you blinded so much you can't even respect a community.

Back on track, I think Aiken took a lazy route and GAA went the money grabbing route. They should have gone down the Ploughing Championship way, professional, expert swat team of engineers and big machinery operators that transform fallow land in to a viable venue with little impact on residents.

I'd agree its a badly written piece alright. I wouldn't take it too seriously If I were you.

I doubt that the residents have said that those pissing in their gardens are country folk. But I'm absolutely sure that residents do experience such behaviour when there is a major event..I've witnessed it first hand.

Judging by your comments on Dublin kips, it seems you're quite angry?!?

What involvement, if any, did Aiken Promotions have in relation to an agreement made back in 2009?

What has that got to do with anything?

Because it's likely they are caught in the middle and didn't know of any agreement.

Pretty shoddy "professionalism" on their behalf, not to have cleared all checks before announcing more dates.
More shoddy on the GAA's behalf mind.

Aiken would have checked with croke park on the extra dates. How is it shoddy professionalism on their part. They don't have any agreement with the croke park residents infact where they even the promoters of U2 in 2009 when this so called agreement was signed

In fairness, if Croke Park hid any agreement with residents from Aiken (agreements which they planned to ignore), then they have a right to be angry.

It would be another example of the duplicity of Croke Park though.

    U2 2009 were MCD Promotions

I wonder did Aiken Promotions know of such an agreement or did Croke Park hide it from them?
