On a similar note - does anyone know where I could get my hands on a copy of last year's minor final (the full match) - would be a nice one to have but couldn't find the full game on youtube the last time I looked? Thanks.

I THINK I have it recorded onto an external hard drive, but believe it or not I just can't bring myself to watch any of the program from that day, sad I know!!! :o

I have still not watched the 2012 final never mind last years. I've literally tried to blank them from my mind. I'm more likely to look back over last years one at some stage though. Possibly.......

If you have it to send over I'd like to get my hands on it.

Unfortunately the restaurant I was in on O'Connell Street after the final was showing a repeat of the senior game so I got to see it twice in one day - I have no particular wish to see it a third time!

The minor match is well worth watching, that team played almost like a senior outfit.

Some of the points the minor forwards scored that day were outstanding, probably the biggest thing the seniors were missing

Without a doubt, Mayo reached minor AI finals in 2008,09 etc but what they lacked was good scoring forwards from play. Will any of those minor forwards line out for Mayo U21s this year?

I know, but its like been in a club with a load of pints on you, finding a GEORGOUS cailin, taking her home and the after event (senior final) is waking up to find she is like a battered horse! :D

I will someday, when the "hurt" heals ;)

Yeah he played quite well when he was introduced on Sunday.

More Roscommon players starting? Steady on, lads.

Surprised Keith Rodgers hasn't got a right chance in the FB line in the last two leagues, particular this year with the hole left by Higgins going walkabouts up the field and Tom Cunniffe not available.

Huge waste playing an All-Star HB like Boyle in the corner, it's even more of a problem than playing Higgins there as he is at least experienced at this level in the position.

Does anyone know if the ladies match at 12:00 in Omagh is covered by the season ticket or would you have to pay separately for it? Might try and make it up for both if I can get on the road in time.

I'd presume that game is covered too?

Thanks, I thought with the LGFA being separate from GAA it might be different. Wish the games were a bit later, e.g. 2pm and 4pm. Would have to be on the road very early to be in yours seats for 12pm

I was in Omagh there a few weeks back, 3 hrs from Castlebar to there so should be around the same Sunday morning, of course weather could play a big part in this.

    The road.... :P

I went through Sligo and Enniskillen. Its a road I know well so took it. You can also go Ballyshannon and across through Bellek, went that way 2 years ago.

Its much of a muchness I suppose.

Yea, delayed showing. Why on earth TG 4 decided to show Westmeath v Dublinb as the live game is beyond me:rolleyes:.

The Ballyshannon to Kesh isn't great, the other route would be a better road to be honest.
But with the weather the way it is, then becareful of floods on them roads.
Keep an eye on AA roadwatch IRE and UK for reports.

Safe driving folks, would love to be there, but limted now til my op in March.

    Game over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,736 ✭✭✭Fowler87

Game over now. Mighty fightback like the last day against Kildare to rally it back but its no good when your defence is as leaky as they are atm. Early days but its worrying the amount of scores Tyrone got from play like Kildare last Sunday. Vital to win the next game at home now. Least it looks like a gem has been unearthed in Adam Gallagher. Fair play to him

League form seems a better gauge of Mayos standing in the game than championship imo. The unimpeded march to a Championship qf where they meet a half beaten team gives the false impression to some that Mayo are the 2nd best team in the country. If gaelic games was run like real sports, on a proper league basis Mayo would be about 4th or 5th. That's not bad, just I don't think Mayo are quite as good as some supporters and pundits believe.

We were very poor when through on goal, created plenty of chances but didn't have the composure to put them away. Tyrone didn't suffer from that, they were clinical at times.

Gallagher really does look a player, great day for him. Keegan was my man of the match though, another serious performance - That shoulder he gave cavanagh was superb!
