    Is it a Toyota screen?

Fair play DZ - Those values are fantastic. Shows how well the car is kept (even with the exhaust hanging off :pac: )

Today, I got a bloody well clean 96 Civic saloon for €225.

This week has been a good week.

It's not unfortunately, I just could;t afford the extra cost because it was €490 ex VAT for the toyota one and the one the insurance would pay for was €340 ex VAT.

    Thanks :)

Fortunately it passed except the screen when the exhaust was attached so it was just a visual for the window today :pac:

I might have missed it, but why did you want a Toyota screen?

Because the car is an import Levin and often times, spurious screens aren't an exact fit.

I had forgotten how bad it was to drive without it until today:( water and dirt clinging onto it and smearing with the wipers. I'm planning to sell it soon and get something else in about a month I hope so I'll just use rainX until I get the new car :)

Just to keep it original :)

Tbh I wouldn't want a spurious screen if I was replacing mine. Often don't have the vin visible while OE does, and often make a right cock of rain sensing wipers too.

No such problems on a 15 year old Toyota luckily!

This is the exact reason I decided to use the cerium oxide and rayon pad on mine to remove the scratches rather than get a new one.

The problem lies in the fact that the sensor is immersed in a gel which is part of the operation and this gel needs to be replaced with a new windscreen. When it's not, it sends the sensor haywire.

The awkward moment when you jump into the car only to realize parkin at an angle sends the fuel away from the sender :o

    Break out the emergency refill!

Yes, E39's require a screwdriver jammed into the filler.... :P

If you ever needed proof of mazda's attention to details, the mazda 2 was it. Entire car was torn apart piece by piece and new/better/lighter build materials used for every single part. Ended up saving a huge amount of weight

Which begs the question, why is there no Mazda 2 MPS?

How did the company go about finding a screen that would fit the Levin?

There was a hoax 2MPS in America at one stage. They said it was going to have a 2.0T engine producing 230bhp. Never actually was real at all but it does sound excellent!

You know Ford's Etis website, where you can look up info, repair guides and specs of your car. For most things, it costs to register, but looking up the factor fitted options list on your own car is free, which is nice.

I'm wondering is there a similar website for Volvos?

I'd say she could do with a needle-nose pliers to go along with that spanner for all the good it'll do her!

She's got a very pixelated face though, not sure I like that in a girl...
