Between now and June not much really. In June my OH returns and will be living in NI so I'll be making a weekly trip up and down to Newry mid week and every second weekend most likely. I'll be going to Tipp every other weekend then. This will last for about 18 months.

I haven't sat down and worked it all out but I know when I was doing it before I covered about 25k miles a year. I do other driving too but the above would be regular enough.

A very brief calculation works that out at over 15k miles a year but I know other driving would usually bring that up to at least 20k.

Having said that if a lovely well priced Golf Mk IV GTI came along I'd strongly consider it.

Have you actually viewed the car yet. What was the engine like was it dry everywhere. I've yet to see a 1.6 hdi engine that doesn't have oil on it somewhere. There kind of just known for leaking oil everywhere . As for whether to buy the car or not you obviously like it so it really comes down to price I'm assuming if it has 120k km and is being sold in a garage then it's probably not cheap. So it comes down to whether spending money on it every year is an issue as it will cause problems at some stage more a when than if. If none of that bothers you then go for it. When I look at my focus. The biggest thing about it is would I buy another 1.6hdi no I wouldn't tbh.

You'd find it very easy to sell the superb for €10950 though.

Well then you have some questioning to do to yourself as to why you post in a motors forum if you prefer a repmobile over a 272bhp RWD executive sedan.

Yeah. Hell, I'll keep the superb for a few weeks so everyone will think I'm doing well - after all I "upgraded" from an '06 to a '10

I replied asking him for a link to his add. Couldnt find it on donedeal searching by phone number. I am a little suspicious as the average price for a superb of that year is about 12-13k on donedeal.

I stand by my earlier comment.

Plus, don't let your experience in a boggo spec underpowered 4 pot bm taint your view.

There is no correlation between preferring a superb to a bm and posting in a motors forum. Like, are you serious?
