Little Snickers?

I've just had a snickers bar, or marathon to us oldies.

It seemed to be very small, so I checked it wasn't a snack size one. They are all 48g, as are Mars Bars.

Is it just me, or have they gone the way of Wagon Wheels?

    I think they were.

If that is the case the bar has gotten 26.15% smaller yet the price hasn't reflected this.

The same for Moro bars and most chocolate bars. Paying the same or more for less food, only a few grams but it ads up to their profits

They've reduced the size in order to meet their goal of having all bars under 250kcals, or something around there. Its for our own good dont ya know.

Of course the price has not gone down to reflect this.

More to do with the price of cocoa going up and the choice is between a price increase or a smaller bar.

I remember when a strawberry penny mouse was the size of your fist.

    And only cost a penny!

They will all be fun sized in a decade.

The worst case of this has to be Cadburys reducing the pink snack bar by 33% and leaving the price the same.

It went from 3 fingers to 2, complete joke.

    EDIT:
    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/cadbury-gives-two-fingers-to-irish-chocolate-fans-29397167.html

It appears they did lower the price but its still a joke. ;)

I notice a lot of them re-design the packaging while making the bars smaller... I guess the shiny new wrapper is supposed to distract you from the fact that you're getting less for your money.
