I've a half eye on the darts, haven't watched it in years, that eejit with the hair throws like my grandmother, talk about the action not matching the image, when I saw him I thought he'd be like a machine gun

Enjoying the darts now, amazing game when it comes to the world final. Anyone else watching this?

Yeah, Wright is really on a roll now. It's turning into a great final. MVG just cannot live with him ATM.

I'd love it if Wright beat him, love it!

No, first game I watched. When he came out I thought he'd be firing the darts a hundred miles an hour, by the end I was his biggest fan, trust me:pac:

Right lads, I used to do this in college and have seen a good few on here mention betting.

Basically, a friend text me a tip for the 2.25 in Fairyhouse today. I logged into my old online Paddy Power account to see I had €2.02 in it.

Put it on the horse, Off the Charts, and he romped home at 4/1.

I've now a tenner in my account. So, lads, challenge is to get this €10 as high as I can now.

Used to do it in college when I'd plenty of time but don't have the time for researching the nags now. Anyone with any decent bets to share?

Is there anything worth sticking a few pound on in the darts?

Well the PDC darts is over now. The BDO starts the weekend but its harder to predict.

So as for your tenner, I reckon the best way to look at it as a project. Try to turn it into €100 by the summer. There's a few ways to do to this of course. 1 is to stick it all on a 10/1 shot. The other is to build slowly by betting €1 each time on roughly even money shots. The latter slow build should appeal to you as a patient FF player, more value in it that way too

That's my strategy. I turned €5 into €532 before I withdrew before in college.

My plan would be to go on sure fire bets.

Good man! I took it up in February of last year afer 2 years out with back and ankle problems. I now have 2 half marathons and the Dublin City Marathon under my belt now. Plus, I lost a stone in weight.

One of the best decisions I ever made.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,973 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Booked for a physical, a dentist check-up, and laser-eye surgery consultation

I haven't been to a doctor, dentist or optician in years so health is my new resolution!

Same goes for me. I actually ended up losing too much weight doing it! It was never my goal to lose any.

I find it hugely enjoyable. Do at least 30k a week now. 10k three mornings.

The good thing about running is that I've a hectic schedule with family and work so I can fit it in when I like.

It'll not be long until you are doing races Copper. The couch to 5k app is a great place to start.

Pretty much the same as 8-10. Haven't been to a dentist since primary school. My eyesight has gotten terrible in the last year or two so I have to get an eye test for contacts. Not looking forward to that!

Plus I booked my driving test yesterday, something I've been putting off for nigh on 5 years now since I failed when I was 20.

My mother brought/dragged me to one when I was 18... She probably knew I'd leave it 12 years :(
Kev is right, seriously crazy leaving it that long, have booked in for the end of the month... I need a good moth of brushing, flossing 24/7 before I darken the door.

Also failed my driving at 21, took me 9 years to re-apply. The missus was about to kick me out if I didn't get it with the arrival of bambino #1 last year.

To say I'm a procrastinator is an understatement.

    Still, I'll get there :)

Giving up the smokes is number 1 goal for this year. Hate myself for taking them up (relatively late at 20... Idiot)

Haven't played ball in 4 years and it's time to get doing something before time catches up. Think I'll give boxing a go this year. Brother fought in the Novices a few years back and I'm setting that as a goal while I'm still young(ish) enough, it'll be cycling or running after that.
