Don't see Brigids losing this one at home unless Mitchtels' forwards show something they haven't.

    A kiss of death.

Crazy game that either side could have won enjoyable watch, crap ref and well done to Castlebar.

Will Barry Moran be suspended for the semi final?Does he get a game suspension in the club championship competition or a time suspension?Thought it was a harsh decision, possible appeal.

In fairness Castlebar got two goals in as many minutes to keep their noses in front after that sending off and Brigids were down an inter county player for all of extra time.

My point exactly ,Brigids were hopeless in Extra time minus Mannion/Dolan

The pic of Shane Curran is here! Mad stuff.

Like the time my mate broke his leg down in Killala about 20 years ago, we had to rip the door off the dressing room to make a stretcher!

Not sure what your point was, reading your other posts you seem bitter about something.

1st half of extra time was 1-1 the second half was 4-0 hardly hopeless and Brigids could have got a few penalties in extra time also. Nonsense if think two players has carried a side to three in row provincial titles and All Ireland.

plus Ian Kilbride sent off (though he probably deserved it) - huge player for Brigids and Peter Domican gone abroad - spine of the team.
Daragh Donnelly sent off for arguing about his team not getting a clear cut penalty!

I'm just raging the referee did them out of
1 - final line ball in normal time - he bizarrely overruled the linesman
2 - added extra minute end end of normal time to allow Castlebar get the last free
3 - didn't award two clear penalties in extra time - one was the goalie jumping in with two feet. Second was clear push on Dolan near the end.

How incompetent can a referee be?

I think the man doth protest too much ;)

Your perspective is slightly different to my own and to what I have read on forums and that of the radio and TV, but each to their own.
As said already the 2 footed challenge could have been a penalty, there was no push.
"To allow"... your worse than Jim Corr with a statement like that.

Anyways, at the end of the day Castlebar are Connaught Champions, Brigids were great representatives but now its time for the Mayo men to shine.

I was watching it as a neutral. Did you actually watch the game??
The sideline ball was given to Brigids and yet the referee overuled his linesman. That is where the 'allow' comes from.

best of luck to them, but I don't think they'll go any further.

No, I just like to post on games I don't attend or watch.

    Read your statement again...

You said he "Allowed" the free, not the line ball. Getting mixed up there I think.

Your last comment is bitter, your comments are those of a neutral either I would think.

Key for Mitchels was hanging in their when down to 14 men the 2,3rd goals were huge moments and they made the most of the luck that came their way to win out by 4. I thought Neil Douglas, Tom King,Richie Feeney caused the Brigids back line all type of problems and getting Danny Kirby free to play was a triumph.

Dr Crokes the likely opponents don't like a big physical side that gets in their face and Castlebar are that and having beaten two All Ireland contenders they certainly won't fear them.

Listen Brigids were lucky to be going for 4 in a row .a late goal 3 years ago in tuam and the worst refereeing performance againt corofin 2 years ago .

You make your own luck and its a sign of good team that keeps it going to very the end just as Castlebar Mitchels proved in this final. What i remember most from 2011 final was the Corofin supporters letting themselves and their club down. Marty Duffy better not ref any of their matches any time soon.

I don't think they have enough quality to win a semi final.
But as I said, best of luck to them

It would be no harm to get a bit of atmosphere going. Anything that increases the noise of our support is good.
I take it they will sit in their own section for homes games?

I don't know, I think they are only getting off the ground, not long set up.

They may have reached the Connacht final but 12th seems a little high to rank London.

Any one see the "Good Luck Kiltane" sign at the World Darts Final ?
