Maybe your graphics card is overclocked too much.

    ADD MOAR FANS :D

Sure its the gpu and not cpu? 8350 runs hot so ifs theres any issue with the cooler mounting could easily cause issues. I would say add more fans, but as long as you've at least one intake/one outake, there definitely should be no overheating to the point of actual shutdown.

Run temp monitoring software and see what's causing it.

How do you know it's overheating? Honestly, with a water cooled CPU that shouldn't be an issue. VaporX cooling is good so I wouldn't think it's that. Maybe the VRMs are overheating?

Def get some software (hardware monitor for example) and check it out.

Sabertooth motherboards have sensors all over the place.
It could be your case airflow. It was for my P67 Sabertooth. Moar fans.

Contact Amazon customer support. They're usually great for this kind of thing.

Right thanks anywhere with stock though?

Sorry, didn't realise it wasn't in stock right now. Same story a lot of places. I really wouldn't spend 150 and postage on a GTX660 though. Total waste of money at this stage of the game. You'd have to spend a little bit more money to get a 270x then if you look around, not much more than another tenner or so though, still worth it, given how much faster the 270x is over the 660. Example of another good buy here, if you buy it soon here.

Here's another good option, £119 delivered and still faster than the GTX660.

I'll wait for stock so and just get an SSD in the mean time.

And now I see that Amazon don't ship SSD to Ireland, bloody brilliant

Are you sure about that? I bought a couple of SSDs from Amazon, although it was early this year.

Well they won't ship the Samsung 120Gb Evo to Ireland... they'll ship Kingston though.

Anyway that brings me to my next question should I just get a Sanddisk 64Gb SSD? Only going to be using for OS.

You sure it wasn't a third party seller? I just brought this all the way to the final order confirmation page, which is a good few pages after the point where they would usually refuse to proceed based on the shipping address.

Ok it's working now, actually think it was the package that includes the rail and lead that was causing the error.

Anyway should I get that or the 64 gb ?

If you can get a 120GB as they offer a much better €/GB ratio, but if the budget is very tight you could manage fine with 64GB if it is just for the OS and key programs.

You might save a few quid by waiting, but to be honest, for the sake of a tenner or even twenty euro, did that ever stop us getting what we wanted sooner rather than later? :D

The 6870 is still OK enough to make hanging on relatively painless though. At the same time, what better time to sell the 6870 and upgrade. You should get about 90 for the 6870, making the upgrade less than a hundred for a huge increase in performance.
