Oh man, some lovely Akai stuff there. Shame you didn't keep it!

I really have to resist the urge to buy a turntable for my hifi, last thing I need is another hobby :D

I wanted to keep it badly but no room at all . I have a nice old 70's turn table and a stack of records but it's such a pain trying to keep the stuff from piling up on top of it so I don't really use it. Need a dedicated shelf or something.

There should be a screw somewhere to adjust the 45rpm,can be a bit of hit and miss getting it right.Or it might need a new belt, can be got on ebay/dj store. Some vinyl does not play at 45 or vice versa of 33rpm,you judge it by ear.

Vinyl-Invest in it!.I noticed certain vinyl holds value on the market.Good sites to use when scouting-

    Discogs.
    Musicstack.
    Amazon.

    Arrived today. :)

    A Gradius Strategy Guide
This is really cool and has a big fold out sheet with full maps of each level packed in to it. Loads of top tips, cheats, codes and really cool artwork I've not seen before. All in a little pocket sized guide book!
    gt6r.jpg

    Shooting Love 20XX (XBOX 360)
Bought this thinking it was a used copy. Turns out it is new and sealed. Result! Top stuff from the good people at Triangle Service. I cannot wait to 'test my shooting age'!
    gt4c.jpg

    Continue: Mega Drive Special (Book)
This is the often sought-after Mega Drive Taizen book. It is basically an issue of Continue dedicated to the Mega Drive. LOTS of cool stuff in this including an encyclopedia of games, interviews with collectors, artwork, cheats, strategies etc. The limited edition comes with a tiny 'capsule' style toy repro of the console. That's great, but to be honest I just wanted the book, the toy I can live without (and not have to pay through the nose for!).
    gt5l.jpg

    Dogyuun!! OST (Audio CD)
Another Toaplan CD for my collection. Getting quite a few of them now and these Scitron sets are superb! I may no longer own the PCB of this game, but the soundtrack is absolute bum trumpets! Been after this one for about a year to 18 months and rarely see it for sale. GET IN!
    gt1r.jpg

    Armoured Scrum Object (Famicom)
A cheeky little SNK shooting game for the wonderful Famicom. Easy to find as a cart-only buttock holster. Finding one boxed and complete is not as easy a task. Delighted to have this one.
    gt2t.jpg

    Volfied (PC Engine)
Thought I had this as a Gary Lucy edition. I did not. Therefore this was purchased immediately. A classic game made even more hunky on the wonderful NEC box of sex.
    gt3k.jpg

    P-47 (PC Engine)
Took a long time for this one to find it's way in to my collection! Glad it has now though. A wonderful game that is surprisingly not too easy to find at what many collectors would agree is a reasonable price. Even Gary Lucy editions go for a reasonable sum...which is odd.
    gt9v.jpg

Alex Kidd In Miracle World (SEGA Mark III)
I thought this was CIB and only realised it was a Gary Lucy edition afterwards! Oh well, it's still GOLD!
    gt10.jpg

    Darius II (SEGA Saturn)
Yes. It took me this long to get around to buying it.
    gt11.jpg

    Fuzzical Fighter (Famicom)
Probably one of the lesser know STG titles for the Famicom. Very nicely done though. Cheeky too... even with it's 'Pat Sharpe's Fun House'-style logo...
    gt7q.jpg

    Rayxanber II (PC Engine)
Last, but by certainly no means least.... THE MIGHTY RAYXANBER II! ...yes okay it's not as good as Rayxanber III, but these games need to find a way in to my collection at some point so this is a good (and cheaper!) way to start it off!

Plus I think this is the one with the really odd speech at the title screen. Think, 'Matt Daaaamooon!'.

Picked this lot off Adverts for 15 euro, unfortunately I think some off thread dealing made Street Fighter disappear before I picked it up.

After mentioning Metroid Trilogy a few pages back I stumbled upon it in CEX for 32 quid today :) happy enough with that after missing it for under 20 when I was working in xtravision. Didn't know if it was worth getting as I have all three titles already and the outer sleeve was a little tattered. After seeing everything else was like new I went for it. Like the idea of replaying Echoes in 16:9 and progressive.
Also picked up House of the dead: overkill (seems awesome but maybe broken) and Resident Evil: the darkside chronicles (not impressed so far). Then got a most awesome birthday present that consisted of super mario land 2, wario land 2 and the pokemon trading card game for the gameboy :D

Anyone have a booklet for Castlevania SOTN or seen one for sale? thats been bugging me ages but I keep forgeting to check :pac:

Just treated myself to this. I love the box art on these. Simplistic but awesome! €30 Might have been a bit expensive.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is well worth it as it packages three of the best games of the last decade together and the new controls on the two GC titles are a revelation.
I wonder if there's a chance of a WiiU hd remaking of them all?

It's the only way to do it, I feel like my hands have been swapped around when I have to use a joypad to play a FPS game.

I find the controller more comfortable these days, being a lefty doesn't help either as the default mouse/WASD setup is a pain to use.

Yeah, I never thought about WASD and lefties. A Logitech G13 would probably solve all those lefty issues if you really wanted to get into pc FPS gaming. I've one at home at the are nice enough, although i find myself using the keyboard instead for some reason.

Couldn't you just reconfigure the WASD controls to the right hand side of the keyboard or use the numpad?

Of course not - that would only help in reinforcing the scourge of blatant leftism so prevalent in the gaming industry.

Next I'll be expected to continuously patch the software to make up for their shoddy workmanship.

I'm a lefty and I find default mouse and keyboard setup does me great! Headshots for all!

I'm weird though as I cant do some things with my left at all and in work I constantly switch my knife between hands. Jesus I never thought about this before....now I dont know what I am! I better get a G13 aswell just to be safe!

Same. I'm utterly hopeless with FPS games on a joypad, I end up just shooting all around the target without hitting it....they're so inaccurate!

I don't know, this was a pretty decent shot with your right hand:

my cousin is a lefty but a I never took notice of her playing pc games just that her mouse felt weird lol every turn playing Worms had to swap which side the it was on. My dad is a lefty too, never on the laptop but sometimes see him having trouble with kitchen stuff

I'm not a lefty but I started using the arrow keys back in the mid 90s, the whole awsd business confounds me!
I bought a Sidewinder joystick which twists on its axis and it was brilliant for Mechwarrior 2 and 3.
I have the PS mouse, must try it with Alien Resurrection, never used the mouse since I picked it up.
