Bloody cat has my head drove mad here with bringing back birds. Got a catcam to see where he's getting them as he seems to be a hoer for getting wrens and aren't they protected

He's lassoed for the night and locked in the shed with the cows to depopulate our mice. Legged it past me this morning with a blackbird and then brought me 2 wrens today. ANTICHRIST! :D

Wrens are indeed protected, so are Blackbirds and indeed nearly every other bird out there, excluding gamebirds in season. Even Pidgeons and Crows are protected, outside of the usual derogation they get.
Did you ever try bells on the cat to warn birds? I hate to see cats slaying all before them, I don't even like the way the half kill mice. Give me a dog any day:cool:.

I did, I used a bell and a name tag so it jingled at every step. He's just too good a hunter. I don't know how he keeps getting wrens though, he's 6kg of legs and teeth and surely they see him coming!
