Its not beyond repair, some garage will buy her, stick 6 or 7k into it, labour at cost and sell it for 20
Keeps your staff busy and you make a few quid from it

Not really worth €20k is it? Cat C I think, usually people would keep away from stuff like that.

jaysus i'd love to see that estimate, i don't think 7k would go near it in parts etc. could be wrong.

It'd need a reshell. Straightening that would be an absolute nightmare

Some people do, but there is a market for it...
Used to see a lot of this sort of stuff being bought and fixed up to a great standard and sold...

Its viable as the labour is at cost

I can assure everyone on here that gtv's gtv has been enthusiast owned.
Here's a pic of some of the stuff that's been done. That folder is full by the way. Everything is there, including the original order form.

    Or should I say scortho's gtv! :D

    And unkel....she has tan leather!:p

All bought for a fifth of the money spent keeping her on the road over the last 5 years of his ownership!

Good on you. If it's as good as all those folders suggests, your onto a winner

Without seeing it up on a jig, hard to say from the pics... But i say every effort would be to straigthen her up

Ah i was devastated for him when the news came in. Everyone on alfa owner was. Hopefully I'll have her back on the road soon and maybe she'll make an appearance at a meet

Hard to say? The whole arse is twisted one way, the rear legs would be crinkled and bent, it would be seriously weakened reshaping that thing. Notto mention the panels needing some serious attention to get them back near to factory, the shut lines wouldn't match the same again and the parts needed could buy you a fairly decent post 08 car

Reshell is the only way with that heap

Re the 12 passat I wouldn't be surprised to see a passat for sale parts only no book available in a few weeks when somebody transfers the identity to one stolen to order, so if you know anybody with a passat the same colour tell them to mind it well for the next few weeks.

Hey folks, just looking for some quick advice. My brother just replaced his 95 Suzuki Cultus with a newer car and is looking for the best solution to get rid of it, while still maybe getting at least something for it. The NCT expired 31 May 2013. He didn't try put it through since it expired but it isn't in the best state at the moment. It drives and starts no problem but it's eating oil and has to be topped up very frequently, as well as that, the drivers window is smashed, happened when it was opening (electric), something must have given way and the whole thing just shattered. Don't know too much else about it but I'm sure given the age and NCT being over 2 years ago, it's got a few other surprises. Although it's probably been driven less than 10K since the last NCT. It's a 1l so cheap enough to tax and insure.

He's had a few dodgems calling to the door, one offer was €40. He's keen to get rid of it now but it could end up anywhere with these guys? Any suggestions on the best option? I told him to take it to a scrap yard that he could get about €100 and at least he'd know it's been scrapped and get a scrap cert etc. I'm still even thinking he could get more than that though considering it's driving fine. He wants the most convenient and hassle free option so the likes of keeping it and selling for parts, or driving to a scrap yard in the middle of nowehere is out of the question. Just looking for a quick sale/disposal and must be all legit.

Done deal it for 100 quid. Get the logbook signed by the new owner and send it off your self.

Thanks, if that's all you reckon it's worth it may be better off just letting it go for the 40 quid than having to go to all the hassle of meeting buyers and all that lark. Although driving it to a scrappy would probably be the best?
