Not a mention of it today, very strange.

He was all talk about it yesterday, then no follow-up after it was broadcast last night.

Seems like a major blunder! Would anyone from RTE like to come here and give us an explanation?

just googled that phone. 1st ad up was one for sale in crumlin

This is ridiculous. I can't afford to go to the hairdresser, and a bunch of criminals get it for nothing. FFS.

At last a bit of honesty from those women - as many of us already believed prison is just a holiday camp. These women are giving the lie to a lot of John Lonergans softly, softly pallaver.

It's time we copped on. As that woman said wouldn't it be better to remove the hairdressers & make up before taking home helps from elderly and disables. We really have our priorities all wrong in this country.

The devastating "boys will be boys" soft attitude of John Lonergan did immence damage to the prison system.

It will take years if ever for it to be removed.

Lost a lot of respect for Lonergan.
He is now making a lot of money on the speaking circuit saying what he thinks people want to hear. He did feck all when he was in charge of Mountjoy.

When they were talking about building thornton hall the leftie liberals were up in arms that the prison was to far away for families to have to have to visit and there was no public transport links. Its a prison not the airport. So what if Decos mammy n junkie girlfriend cant get out to North County Dublin to visit him or lob a bag of smack over the wall to him.

That GP rep isn't very convincing - substituting emotion for facts by the sound of it.

Feels very cheap that RTE have to go Mark Hennessy or Enda Brady or whoever for a big English story like slave house/Nigella. Surely there was another bit of fat they could have trimmed instead of scrapping the guy in London.

Absolutely they should have kept the London bureau open. I seem to recall it getting mentioned in the House of Commons even, so British parliamentarians took note. How odd for the national broadcaster not to have a full-time operation in the capital of our closest neighbour and largest trading partner, not to mention a country that is home to tens of thousands of Irish people!

Holy **** that man is nuts. I don't think it matters what the government give to the ESB unions. He thinks his membership are spoiled so whatever he is looking for it doesn't seem to be money. The pensions are just the excuse to kick it all off. He seems determined to bring down the electricity network as some sort of step towards some concept of a socialist revolution. Time to buy batteries, candles, and drums of gas because there is no reasoning with him. This is going to end up very very badly.

He tried and to most rational people he did BUT Ogle is off on some sort of a Socialist trip. There is no reasoning with him. He is utterly convinced his political beliefs are correct and seems determined to pull the whole country down to bring about his socialist utopia. Trying to argue with Ogle is like trying to discuss religion with Bin Laden. He won't listen to reason. If his membership follow him (and given what he said about them I wouldn't be sure they will) then strikes will be inevitable and lengthly.

hatched job though, pure and simple.

sean was looking after the people that pay his wages there. ya can almost see the hand of pat rabbite.

turned over to pat on the back of it. STILL no sign of the ESB management on this issue which is just bad journalism at this stage. im no fan of olge but it takes two to tango and the medias let the employers off time and again.

Ogle sounds like he should he be back with lenin in 1920s moscow. His political beliefs are outdated and just another version of the powerful getting richer and the poor being even worse off. Hatchet job or not orourke got a good interview out of him and showed him up in parts but unlike a lot of other interviewees ogle answered the questions and didnt shy away off in a rant
