The historical kill ratio between us both is way in favour of the Lions. I'd say we can safely kill another few of those glorified fire place rugs before God gets pissed with us.

Nobody said rareing an animal in a cage and killing it for food was OK either. Retarded post. She killed a ****ing lion.

Even though this is clearly a wind-up, I laughed at the thought of somebody being bitter about the Kill/Death ratio of lions relative to humans. Brilliant.

if she had no gun the outcome would be the same ? even if it was fixed ?

I dont think you understand what fixed it. Fixed means the hunt puts only 1 'competitor' in danger. She was never in any danger.
A lot of these lions are hand raised by humans meaning they have no fear of humans in fact often see them as allies who bring them their next meal.

Whats is your point about her having or not having a gun?

We tend not to regularly eat anything that has an almost purely carnivorous diet, so I'd presume it wouldn't be great. We seem to prefer animals that eat vegetation - cow, chicken, lamb, pig (although they'll eat anything), turkey etc.

That being said, I ate crocodile before and it was tasty enough.

Do we have to go over the cows being killed for food and clothes shpeel again?

Guessing you have never seen a pack of lions tearing apart 1 hyena and not eating it ? nothing to do with survival it's about territory

yes because you cant have fake outrage for 1 animal over another in a similar situation

2 problems: She ain't gonna eat it and she ain't gonna wear it.

    Wears your logic now?

    Still stands :)
Who am I to say what she did was wrong. When I eat meat, wear/wore animal clothing etc.

Next time you're munching on a nice streak. Think about this lion and that cow. I guess if she was to eat it or make a coat out of it - it would be 'different'? :pac:

Who's logic sounds crazy now ;)

Do you understand nature at all? The hyenas are direct competitors for food source. Yes its about survival.

Yours still does. If she killed it with the primary motivation that she would eat it and wear its hide then yes but that not what happened was it?

    local tribesmen? eating lions?

they don't eat lions, they kill lions because the lions kill their cattle.

Why would you hunt one of the most dangerous animals in Africa for food if there are tonnes of animals that are much tastier and much less dangerous?
    Nobody is that stupid.

You're still missing one major point - lions are verging on (of not already now) an endangered species.

Killing cows to eat is currently sustainable. If that changed and they were suddenly endangered then we'd need to think of finding another food source.

You have similar issues with overfishing, cod resources were dropping so alternative fish were found.

If there were as many lions in the world as cows, then I'd be happily munching away on lion. That's not the case though.

In fairness, if there's ever a choice between a high road and a low one, the view is better from the high one. And the air is cleaner.

King Juan Carlos of Spain recently went to Africa and shot an Elephant. Now considering they are huge thats not much of an achievement but I suppose It might be for him as he might have laid off the drink and mistress for a bit.

Whats even more shocking is that the worlds Tiger population is crashing mainly from poaching and habitat destruction. Its sad to think that within 20 or 30 years those beautiful animals may be gone.

Having grown up watching and learning about nature from Eamonn de Buitlear, Gerrit Van Gelderen and of course David Attenborough its sad to see our natural world disappearing slowly.

We seem as well recently to have a new problem with chinese medicine and their need to kill animals willy nilly for their products - whether that be Rhino Horn or Starfish.

Meh, she probably paid 10K+ to the park so she could shoot a male that had been selected by rangers because he was old and starting to fail. It's good money for the park, and a kinder exit for the animal than letting nature take it's course.

Disgusting, pathetic excuse for a person.
Hopefully her next time she decides to pointlessly kill an animal for her own enjoyment the gun malfunctions and causes her own death.
