Vboy emu works very well actually.
Also, make sure you've calibrated the rift to each user otherwise you are missing out on the full effect of the vr. It can be done in the config utility that comes with the SDK.

    Edit:
There is a SNES emu and I've tried it. But don't see the point of it.

Host Sync option for video synchronization across network
    Real cinema seating/ Lighting
4D Experience(s) - (Just the revamped Thriller Intro for now)
Increased video-type compatibility (new Quicktime failover)
    Corrected scale and physics
    Full realistic Razer Hydra hand-integration
    Outer theater lounge area
    Lightswords
    Laser Pointers (disable-able)(!!!)
Volleyballs and bouncyballs to pick up and throw at eachother
    On demand drinks

I keep meaning to buy a new tool box. Anyone have suggestions for a decent (and moderately priced) one?

My tools are just randomly spread all over the house. There was a screwdriver on the sink this morning along with the toothbrushes :D

Well, if you stick an order in now you might have it by February or early March.
Long waiting list on these bad boys :)

Ahh I know that. Would be the ultimate addition to the bartop. That'd make it a driving / shooting / VR arcade machine.

I should rename it the Bartop Cluster****.

Halfords do good toolboxes, I've a pair of the rollerbearing ones in my kitchen :)
Prices can vary wildly though, standard prices is high enough but they do mad sales every so often.

I got a wireless Dremel a good while back and its pretty awesome. Really holds the power unlike a lot of other wireless options. You going wired or wireless. The one I got was a Dremel 8200 10.8V Cordless Rotary Tool and its served me well.

Well I've cut everything from super thin glass to metal sheets with this thing. Make sure to get some diamond blades of various sizes. They are great and only about 5-10 quid for few of them. A Dremel Multi Chuck is also handy (cost about 10-12 euro).

This is the Dremel I got, it's dropped in price a good bit as well.

Thanks Steve, ill show her that one later. My main concern is it would have enough power to cut through metal on a battery as the lidl one is brutal. appreciate that.

Just go for a mains one if your going to be using it for metal etc,
    battery's not worth the hassle

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,408 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

It would only be light metal stuff im doing, eg cutting off screws that i cant get out of things. I wouldnt be cutting sheet metal or anything i dont think.

Gunvari Collection arrived thus morning, for the PS2.
It's a one disk collection of the three Point Blank games, called Gunbullet, Gunbarl and Gunbalina here, and Time Crisis.
It's a Japanese release and I've no idea yet if there is any scaling or other changes to the originals.

More of an 'I made it' than I found it - SJS1 to Atari 9 pin convertor for a Spectrum +2a & 2 pick ups - New Zealand Story for SMS + Super Donkey Kong JP for SNES.

    Some nice pickups there folks.
But come on, resize those pics before posting!
Normally on a forum you are looking at around 640x640 for embedded pics and then you can link those to as high a resolution as you like.

Time to upskill so learning a bit of (nearly) 40 year old assembler :)

I like having the old manuals to go with these old computers, pdf's just don't cut it for me.
Can be pricey though, Atari manual cost nearly as much as the computer I got a few months ago.

CPC6128 was cheap though (€12), needs a bit of tidying up and I've to convert it to a single 5V supply but well happy with it.

Is the LIDL one you have battery powered?

I have the corded lidl one myself, and i find it grand for my needs - console modding mainly, but I've never needed to do any heavy work with it.

The price is unbeatable, you sure get a lot of bang for your buck for 20-25 snots.

I know of a guy that was doing a lot of heavy metal work with a dremmel and he burned the motor out in it, he should really have used a grinder, but it just shows that the dremmels can be killed too if you push them too hard!
