This probably sounds fierce silly, but after I got that horrible puncture a few weeks ago I lost the confidence I had in handling my car at high speeds.

Was delighted today with the car, realised it was me and not the car, and really enjoyed my trip pelting along down the M1 :) Gotten the confidence back not to be worrying about every little change in surface/camber and thinking I'd a puncture :)

Sometimes (just sometimes, it is an alfa, I love my car, or maybe that should be, I love my car, but sometimes it scares the bejaysus out of me :D )

And totally OT I got to do the grocery shop in Sainsburys, dear me, if they ever announce they are setting up shop here, I would travel to Cork weekly just to shop there, I'd the most heavenly hour and a half there :)

Right, Jap and Italian are in the same corner anyway... As long as germany don't get involved with us it's not toooo suspicious.

No sign of any dodgy NIW vans, devil fuelled smoke machines, or steely C5s this morning on the A1 :D

I did see the most weird reg plate BIG 21 on a red TDI A4.

And one of those weird looking Mini Cooper Ds, they look like a normal mini on steroids.

do the new crowd for the NCT still ask for the VLC or is it just cash and a licence ?

mines gone off to shannon and id like to get a test.

I'm still stuck at the roadworks in Slane. You think they'd be finished at this stage

I did my NCT a fortnight ago in kildare and was asked for a licence and cash only.
Not sure if that is across the board, when I did an NCT earlier in the year on another car in Fonthill I was asked for the VLC

I've never had to produce a VLC just cash and id

In my experience Dublin offices are always more stringent. Be they tax offices, NCT centers or what have you.

Thankfully they seem to be a bit less stringent when taxing a commercial than their country cousins. ;)

Well, that is the opposite of what I heard... heard kildare was a lot less stringent than dublin!

Clondalkin is so busy they don't seem to have time to question it. ;)

Deansgrange and Northpoint were the last three I used :) No VLC requested
