2 fairly good weeks behind, and a bit worried for next week. Would you take points hit to bring midfielder in (Ben Arfa is on his way out anyway), or wait a week and play with what is there now?

Because they got loads of cleansheets from those games :(

The point I'm making is that Mig hasn't done much in a while but was happy to have him until now and my thinking is that perhaps once December rolls around that United might become more solid and De Gea would be a viable option over Mig especially if De Gea dropped in price again by that time.

Liverpool have Spurs, Cardiff, City and Chelsea and Hull over Xmas whereas United have Villa, West Ham, Hull, Norwich and Spurs. A lot can happen in a month or more's time but that's just an idea I've had.

Everton have great fixtures over Xmas too so Howard could be an option

if joe hart was dropped it may solve your mignolet dilemma.

I'm doing the same but going for Lloris when spurs get their tough fixtures against the mancs out of the way. Was gonna get Johnston in instead of migs but may not have the cash now.

Have zero faith in United defensively, been saying for a while that if they pick up in form it will most likely be by scoring more than they concede like they did last season, and like they did this week. Haven't owned a united player all season and no plans to anytime soon.

Would be a huge call by Pellegrini but Hart has made some terrible errors of late, culminating in his calamity yesterday.

The plan for next week is to drop Baines and Zabaleta for two 4.0 defenders, perhaps someone from Villa since they have a handy run of games coming up.

Also maybe Countinho to come in for one of the midfielders?

Any particular reason to drop Zabaleta now? Next 2 games are Norwich(H) and Sunderland(A). Unless you are worried about rotation I would leave him for next 2 weeks. I would rather play 3 up front, so you could downgrade Baines, and bring Lukaku for Campbell maybe?

Yeah I was definitely considering Lukaku but if I drop Baines I'll have 11.8 to spend, would there be any merit in Giroud/Sturridge/Rooney instead?

Well, you coud get Lukaku, and put a little more into midfield - because at this moment Your score will really depend on Arsenal midfielders. Lot of money to play with. If I was you I would get Lukaku - this way you will have Everton coverage after getting rid of Baines. Spend the rest elsewhere. Midfield in my opinion (Chelsea maybe?)

With the strikers playing as well you have to have 3 up front, I am going to get rid of Lukaku this week for the following reason,

    Lukaku Spurs (h), Palace (a), Liverpool (h), Stoke (h)
Benteke West Ham (a), Cardiff (h), WBA (a), Sunderland (h)

Benteke will cost me 8.8m I bought Lukaku for 7.4 currently 8.1 so would be costly if things don't work out

Getting close to the team I want-

    Boruc
    Ivan Clyne Johnson
    Brady Ramsay Ozul Januz
    Rooney Suarez Aguero

    Sub: McGregor, Chester, Coleman, Barkely
McGrgegor Chester injured- but not a big issue as such
Thinking, Barkley- Ivan- Coleman next few changes. Have 2.4 in bank- opinions?

Anybody any thoughts on Begovic as a 6 or 7 week filler in place of migs before moving on to Lloris? Only change I want to my defenders is Kompany when he's fit so don't want to get Pieters in interim.

Some decent fixtures clean sheet wise...
    Southampton (H)
    Swansea (A)
    Sunderland (H)
    Everton (A)
    Cardiff City (H)
    Chelsea (H)
    Hull City (A)

You could do a hell of a lot worse, I mean Stoke are fairly solid at the back. I've half an eye on a stoke clean sheet aquisition myself.

Seeing as its quiet, here's my current team for Week 10 with transfer made.

Nearing the exit door and Michu and Mignolet, and probably Merts to Kompany when fit. Townsend really only a bandwagon purchase too so could be up or downgraded depending on plans. Dont really see anything worth a hit, even though not gonna get many defensive points this weekend.

Any advice for this week or long term. Maybe Migs to Begovic next week, thats probably not worth -4 for this week even though Stoke Soton has 0-0 all over it.

Great team imo, wish I had it

Yes I be thinking migs to Begovic too next week.
Not worth a hit this week

Hey lads, can I please have some advice on my team below. Mainly I'm not happy with my defence as I don't feel like I'm getting value for money. I've already made my transfers for the coming gameweek, but next week I'm thinking Nastastic out for Reid as Spurs have some difficult games coming up (only for that it would be Dawson). I'll also be doing Sturridge to Suarez for a 4 point hit.

I'm also not too happy with my third midfielder. Ozil and Silva are great, but the third option could be better IMO. I'll have around £0.7m in the bank when I get rid of Sturridge for Suarez and Nastastic for Reid, so what moves would you make over the next couple of weeks to make the below team better.

Thanks for any advice, it would be gratefully appreciated.

I'd be more worried about Mert and Clyne to an extent than Nas, right now. Reid would be a handy shout or a Swansea and/or Stoke defender could serve you well too. I've been burned by Kos twice this season and Arsenal's run of games screams "goals will be conceded". City have defensive issues but easier games coming up.

I assume you're aware that Pennant is bench fodder, if you could upgrade him to Howson of Norwich I think it'd be a good move. I'm looking to do it myself in a couple of weeks, a gamble but he's got fixtures and actually getting games on his side. Not a priority though.

A nice team overall though and it'd be nice to see Chester back fit soon with Hull's good fixtures.

    Cheers mate.

Aye, I know Pennant is no good now but I've always had more pressing issues regarding my first 11 which hasn't allowed me to strengthen my bench as much as I would like.

It's just the defence worries me. I think I may be better off taking a patient approach and riding it out with who I have for the next few weeks though. Like you say, City do have nice fixtures.

Cheers. Tempted by the hit as I can't see anything but a couple of goals each between Liverpool and Arsenal. Be lucky to get 2 pts from Mignolet. Whereas Begovic should have a pretty good chance, although far from a cert for a clean sheet. Probably just being greedy?

Hi lads and ladies ... 2 desperately bad weeks - time to play my wildcard. This is my first attempt and any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Just a couple of small things change lewis to davis. That way if boruc gets injured or suspended Davis will come in and you wont need to make a GK transfer. I'd change senderos to rat. Rat and clyne rotate perfectly so you will have one of them at home every week which you can pair with jageilka and dawson in your defence. Personally wouldnt go with Yaya but cant argue with his returns so far. Id expect oscar or hazard to outscore him going forward plus chelsea have a nice run of games coming up.

    This.

And get Morrison (WH) for Ward-Prowse to allow Davis. Then I guess your front 3 does not allow a Chelsea defender but if you can I'd try get one. They're good for either defensive and attacking returns. Finally a guy like Brady (if fully fit) may be better long term than Januzaj since he's been the focal point of Hull attacking stuff. And yeah depending how much you spent on Yaya you may be able to swap him for a Chelsea midfielder (Chelsea do have a favourable run of fixtures coming).

But if you take the hit the clean sheet would only cancel that out.
    That's IF you get one.
    Take the safe option, man.
Also say neither keeper keeps a clean sheet.
Mig has a better chance of more saves than Begovic

That team is ridiculously similar to mine following my 2 free transfers this week. I've even gone with the same C and VC.

The only differences in our squads are:
    Boruc - Lewis
    Ward-Prowse - Townsend
    Coleman - Mertesacker

I hope you have an insanely good week :D

Not there yet, but getting there. 3.4mill in the bank but have already taken a hit and I'm sticking with Rooney over Aguero for this week at least... Fulham always a decent team for us, I'd love to get Aguero in but I think I need to leave my front 3 alone and focus on the rest.

Moses and Eriksen out this week...

Thanks for your thoughts lads... struggling to bring a Chelsea defender because of my strike force - don't want to weaken my midfield any more. I'll tinker around with it a few more times though to see what I can come up with.

So close but yet so far :pac: any ideas i'm stuck - don't really want to get of anyone in that team.
