    collins to glen johnson done

Right, looks like nobody is going to remotely log into my FPL and sort this for me. I'm 50/50 but the prices will swing it for me. Townsend will I expect at least match Eriksen over the next few weeks, Eriksen will drop this week, Townsend will prob go up 0.2 if not 0.3 and more next week if he performs against Hull.

I was mistaken earlier, I have 1m to spare if I bring in Aguero too, so it will free me up to do some defence changes over the next week or two, incl getting glen Johnston prob. May hold off on Aguero to Sturridge till next week as if Sturridge rises too, which he prob will it will offset the Aguero rise and give me another 0.1 bankable value.

Can easily do Aguero/somebody to silva/Benteke in to few weeks, villa play Sunderland in GW13 and bringing in a striker about to play either Sunderland or Palace seems guaranteed points (unless it's Michu).

On another note, I see a lot of people looking to get Swansea defenders. Not sure if I'm missing something, so genuine question. Why?

They have 3 CS so far, against the 2 worst teams by far, plus, west brom. Never looked like holding out against better sides, Southampton also put 2 past them.

They have very good fixtures coming I know, but only a couple that look 'nailed on' CS potential, and more which look good for attacking returns.

Please enlighten me. Would the likes of Wilson, or a West Ham player not be better for those who already have Soton etc?

didnt see any football the weekend . How did G Johnson play have the money to get him in for Collins which was the plan before the weekend and did liverpool play 3 5 2 again? Pity vidic didnt play he is gone in the next couple of weeks he just cant seem to get a consistent run of games anymore should have took my own advice on that one.
Ideally I'll do collins to johnson may take a 4 pt hit of eriksen to townsend. This will then give me the funds to do sturridge to aguero the week after. Aguero has given me nothing but FF heartache since the turn of the year always seems to pick up an injury as soon as I bring him in. Hes probably my favourite striker in the league though so Ill roll the dice again on him.

He took a nice shot and was on target; that's about all I remember of him.

Please recommend me a new defender.

Looking to get rid of José Enrique.

    Current defenders are

    Dawson
    Fonte
    Shawcross
    Coleman
    José Enrique

    Have 1.7 in the bank.

    Thanks.

Glen Johnston. Liverpool not raking in the clean sheets but nobody is apart from Southampton, he'll be playing as a wing back in 352 and seemed to get forward a lot last weekend including bringing a great save out of the be keeper.

Otherwise, Terry or if going cheaper Wilson maybe....

I'd probably go for one of these ... Terry (but would prob wait till after the City game) Winston Reid, Glen Johnson, Rangel/Chico

Townsend to Eriksen trigger pulled after allowing a cooling off period.

Next move to be confirmed. Tempted to swap Coleman for Clyne as well. Missed the Southampton CS bus so far and only three stops left before fixtures turn bad. I think he's very likely to score 4 points more than Séamy over the next three weeks and he rotates better with other defenders hard games.

Very tempted to do the same, but have one or two others that probably need/want to get rid of first! Ivanovic, Zabaletta, Vidic have all disappointed so far and still have Chester taking up space on my bench.

I'd be in no hurry to get rid of Chester myself. He could be back week after next home to Sunderland and as I posted in another thread during the week I reckon he's the best rotation defender under 4.5m in the game, the only viable 4.0m option. I'm holding tight as budget defence is the way to go IMO.

Have just done Lampard -> Lallana.

2.7m in the bank now. Will decide later in the week if I want to take a hit and go Kasami -> Townsend. If I went that route I'd probably be benching Yaya for his trip to Chelsea. Then I'd consider getting rid of him for Silva the following GW.

The top six teams will eventually come good at the back. They always do. I'll be holding onto my expensive City and Chelsea defenders in anticipation of that.

Plan to hold onto a few myself, by budget I mean maybe 2 or 3 big teams and then the likes of Chester, clyne, Wilson etc for rotation. I see lots with 4 or even 5 £5.5m + defenders. I'm def 343 for the forseeable anyway.

By the way I don't sit up all night reading this forum waiting to pounce on a reply, just happen to have a baby who doesn't quite understand the concept of night time.... :(

Join the club. Hence why I was replying pre 6am, although I am an early riser. Night feeds are bottle in one hand and phone in the other!

I always stick to the same tried and tested formula pretty much, play 3-4-3 generally or 3-5-2 the odd week. Defence consists of 2 expensive defenders, presently Terry and Zab, one decent mid price, presently Coleman, and two cheapies, presently Clyne and Shaw. That tends to be my standard template every year and it hasn't let me down yet.

I will more than likely be shedding one of my Saints defenders over the coming weeks but I needed rid of Collins this week and Clyne freed up a bit of cash and might bag a rise or 2 so he'll do for now. He or Shaw will eventually make way for Chester when he returns.

I know i'm a bastard and would hope for a quick recovery but I would celebrate that like a goal from my captain, Ramsey being out for about a month would really throw the cat among the pigeons.

RVP out for Benteke to save a few bob?

RVP out is a good idea. He does not offer value at all at his price.

He was supposed to be out last f**king weekend! And somehow comes off the bench for 11 points. I hate him.

SSN are saying that Rio and Vidic will both miss training ahead of tomorrow. I need Vidic to play against Stoke, he can do whatever the hell he wants afterwards. Otherwise I'll have to take a hit because I'll be damned if Hangeland steps anywhere near my starting 11 come the weekend!

Yeh, I laughed when I flicked onto the forum at ten to 6 and you were after posting, but I was worried that when I replied 3 minutes later I may look like some kinda psycho forum stalker! :D

Agree re defence, long term I expect Terry and maybe Kompany to be my premium defenders, Glen Johnston as mid range and my fave Chester along with either Clyne or Wilson maybe as rotation. I'm leaning towards the likes of Johnston and Wilson who are de facto midfielders.

The Manchester evening news have Vidic as a likely starter for the Sociedad game, being honest I still think Vidic will play almost every game for United once he's fit, after the Fulham game in a fortnight they've got a reasonably difficult run of fixtures though, there are so many changes I want to make that he's not a priority to move out just yet.

If Ferdinand is out again this weekend I might take a 4 point hit for another manyoo defender. They are playing Stoke and am confident enough they will get a clean sheet.

Yeah looking at the fixtures the plan is to bring Terry in, in about 2 weeks or so. He hasn't even played well, or well he's made costly mistakes that are very unlike him when he's been on the pitch and having 3 United players right now isn't serving me too well.

I'd nearly be happier if he didn't play tomorrow and be fit and ready to go against Stoke where he'd be wanted more. Obviously we'll just have to wait and see.

Vidic didn't train today,be surprised if he starts tomorrow night.
Brought in Terry myself last week, things were rosy until Luiz went retard & cost a goal.

I've finally made a move that had been plaguing me and shipped Whittaker out for Chico! Aguero is set to rise in the next day or 2 id imagine so unsure whether or not to follow through with my original plan of Rooney to Aguero now this week! It will cost me a 4 point hit and he is away to Chelsea!

Is it worth bringing him in now or do people reckon Rooney has a better chance against Stoke? I have zero faith in Utd!

Wilson didn't start the last game so Id keep an eye on that one.

Yeh, I think I read somewhere he was carrying a knock, although he didn't get flagged. No plans to bring him in immediately anyway as they have United next, but quite good fixtures after that.
