Nothing obvious without taking a hit really is there, Hangeland maybe considering his fixture list but he's low down in your pecking order. I'd be worried ahead of a few of those team sheets though, I won't mention my Dawson will be dropped mantra anymore until it happens but it will soon. At least you've Kos to come in for any defensive let downs, this will be the week that the Gunners get their clean sheet, could be more to come also if they play Arteta and Flamini as cover for that disastrous defence. Will Janusaj start three in a row? Will Ramsey be rested? But those are two you won't want rid of for obvious reasons, it could be a brilliant gameweek for you but you could also be bitten by a few managers selections.

Has he been that bad? Was planning on getting him in next week. Haven't seen that much of Spurs this season. Would Kaboul be his replacement if he is dropped?

Could be Chirches, He played on Sunday with Daws and was voted Spurs MOTM I believe.

Like all Spurs fans I like Dawson, he's a good battle hardened warrior to use football clichés, but he's 4th best centre back in the club at the moment behind Verthongen(undisputed number 1), Chiriches(much better than Daws on Sunday) and Kaboul(can't seem to stay fit for more than 5 or 6 days in a row). Dawson was absolutely terrible on the ball last Sunday, he put 3 or 4 passes straight out to touch under hardly any pressure. Last season AVB kept playing Friedel after Lloris signed but once he left him out once that was it.
The same will happen with Dawson I think, Danny Rose should return at the weekend, Vert is back to CB where the manager has to choose between Daws and Chiriches, it is my opinion that Chiriches now has his feet under the door after last week and will get the chance, BUT I've been harping on like this for a few weeks now and haven't been right yet.:o

    For this week I've got

    Boruc

    Baines Ivanovic Rangel

    Lallana Ozil Ramsey Barkley

    Giroud Benteke Sturridge

    Bench: Cech Brady Clyne Coleman

    0.3 million in the bank.

Can't really think of any changes to make, I think Clyne could do well but I can't risk losing points with 3 Southampton players if it all goes wrong.

Hmm, yous are worrying me lads, was fairly well set for the weekend but if Dawson is dropped and Ramsey rested(as predicted on antoher thread) I'd be in a spot of bother.

Until he gets dropped (if he even does) there's no point in worrying about dawson getting dropped. Spurs have been done well at the back this year and dawson has had good fpl returns. I'll be keeping him until there's actual evidence of rotation

Everyone said Ramsey was getting dropped last week.

We all seen how that turned out.

Cazorla and Rosicky are playing well so Ramsey's not a nailed on starter which is becoming a worry.

I suspect all RVP owners are worried now after he missed tonight's game.

I don't think anyone said he was being dropped.
You are aware that he didnt start?

He wasn't dropped, he was rested.

But for Flamini getting concussed, we don't know when Ramsey would have come on, or even if he would have.

I was thinking rose may be eased back in tonight which should see dawson safe for another week.

I'm interested to see how Spurs line up tonight for a few reasons, either way I think Rose will play tonight and also on Sunday, AVB will have to choose who his centre back partnership is for the long haul and let them get on with it, I seem to have a lot invested in it through what I've been saying on here but really I'm only talking as a Spurs fan, not an FPL player, I don't think Dawson is good enough to keep his place over the others, but I'm not the manager. It's doubly annoying because I would have had a bargain defender like him in my team all along but I've been thinking he'll be dropped so I've missed out on a lot of clean sheets. I've made similar judgement errors with the likes of Ramsey, Brady, Barkley and Ozil(by waiting for Walcott).
I'm also interested to see if he picks Eriksen or Holtby tonight, either way I expect Eriksen to start on Sunday but if he plays tonight he will see a lot more transfers out.
Townsend, Walker and Paulinho haven't travelled(rested)

    Hey Swiper,

Thoughts on Townsend long term? I have enough dosh to get Paulinho instead who might be better long term. He has similar stats and has played every minute. A bit like yaya+ramsey it seems ie box to box, but a bit unsure of his attacking pedigree, I actually have not seen much of spurs games...

How long term are you thinking, I've no doubt that Paulinho has less competition for his place and he does get forward very well, better and into more advanced positions more often than Yaya IMO, he'll play every game and score 6-8 goals over the season, maybe more. But Townsend is practically the hottest player in the league at the moment, he's got to be super confident, it showed last weekend, he's the better bet for the moment, he's cheaper and if his form goes out the window you won't be long dumping him I'd say, Lamela was poor enough again tonight, he's not putting up much of a fight for that spot.

He was dropped/rested whatever!! Everyone was right! He didn't start.

The FPL Statistics tab shows various player stats. I'm wondering which should be given more weight - the Form stats or the EA Sports PPI (ESP) stats? I was assuming that the Form stats are calculated simply by how many FPL points a player scores in a certain period, whereas the ESP algorithms are a bit more complex, and not just EPL/FPL. Any thoughts on this?

Mignolet or Boruc is the big decision for me this week. Leaning towards Mig as I have Southampton cover in Clyne. Any advice?

I just did Mignolet to Boruc a few moments ago, even though I already have 2 SOU defenders and Alan McGregor, who's injured. Half of FPL players have Mignolet and he hasn't shown any reasons lately to keep him, so I'm optimistic about stepping out from the crowd.

I did it tonight because Boruc is going up in price, and I had planned to make this transfer to fund my transfer on Saturday.

I had 2 free transfers so Moses and Chester out for Brady and Clyne.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Which three of these would you play?

    Morrison - Swansea (A)
    Barkley - Villa (H)
    Fonte - Fulham (H)
    Clyne - Fulham (H)
    Terry - City (H)
    Brady - Spurs (A)

I'm thinking of the top three, and having the other three as subs (in that order). I can see Spurs holding Brady to a 2 pointer.

Anyone see a transfer there? 0.2 m in bank. Honestly, I might just bank the transfer to fund some surgery next week.

I would go Michu - Lallana

Got rid of Michu and brought in Oscar. Wasn't sure on Oscar or Hazard so hopefully I went the right way.

My transfers this week were Moses and Ferdinand out for Oscar and Chico.

Disappointed that Eriksen played the full 90 last night.

Puts a larger doubt on him starting at the weekend I would assume. Already dropped this week so unsure if I should keep him or not. Ughh

Done the far from exciting task of sorting out my bench this week!

    Whittaker -> Chico
    Ward-Prose -> Morrison

hate wasting transfers on this type of thing but it was getting tough watching every week praying my starting 11 would all play as nobody on my bench was getting any minutes!

Quite happy with my team for now

    Mignolet

    Terry
    Chico
    Fonte

    Ozil
    Ramsey
    Michu
    Barkley

    Rooney
    Lukaku
    Suarez

    Subs: Davis, Morrison, Nasatasic, Gabbidon

Rooney -> Aguero next week and possibly Michu out for Oscar the following week!

I agree re Mignolet, and I really wanted to get rid before Arsenal away next week, but I have other priorities as want to change about 3 of my defenders too, and really want to get Kompany in next week as well as Aguero, so dont think its worth an 8 point hit. May have to wait and get Mignolet out in a few weeks.

Whats the story with Kompany, when's he likely to be back?

Wondering whether to get rid or not, he's not pulling his weight

Barkley is away to Villa just in case that was an oversight from you.

I'd go with Terry over Barkley, especially as the person above me has pointed out that barkley is away.
Terry will concede but often does well in the big games, wouldn't be surprised if he scored.
