Import ISO's are fine it's just HD Loader doesn't recognise my chip so uploading imports from discs won't work. I think I just need a USB caddy for my drive.

Ah your PS2 is chipped too? Yeah HD Loader only recognises games that are the same region as your console, & won't notice your chip afaik. To get legit imports on the hdd means you have to rip the disc image & transfer it manually. I could have sworn I seen somewhere there was a 3rd party patched HD Loader with region & authenticity checks removed...can't for the life of me find it though :o

Ya some of the older PS2 chips aren't great. Anything that supports DEV1 or DEV2 mode is what you want - lets you boot straight into an application on the card or harddisc i.e HDLoader :)

So, that Snes game...turns out it was a little known game called Terranigma. Some RPG or somethin'

Happy days. Been hunting this down a while now, & thought it's about time to strike before it ends up going up much more in price.

Nice one man! Hope it wasn't too pricey :)

Almost picked up an AUS version one myself a couple of weeks ago.

Nope, wasn't too pricey considering what it can & does sell for. What stopped you taking the plunge?

The one major issue which will affect you when you bid on ebay Australia - auction end times! :(

Didn't put a high enough proxy and then woke the next day to find someone else had beat me to it.

By the way, the size of the box they sent it to you in is absolutely hilarious. I'd love to see them package a console :D

Few pics of the SFC and Famicom picked up the other week. All boxed games are CIB - almost impossible to find a tatty example of a boxed game over there (except maybe Nemo for the famicom below with some damage to the front art, though it was suitably discounted):

Mother 2 courtesy of Myrddin (thanks again!). Shin Megami Tensei will be unplayable but for 3e in excellent condition it was hard to resist.

Ah, I thought the gradual change to pcb collecting was what decided it.

Unreal, I thought the time I bought the Vectrex was bad!

Ah right! Snes and Megadrive collecting will be with me forever. Even if I sell off everything I own, I'll still have those two consoles sitting under the TV with collections to go with them :) Pretty much my favourite era in gaming.

That's one thing that always worries me about Parcel Motel - the package dimensions. All it takes is for some silly seller to package something in a gigantic box and suddenly I'm paying an extra €10.50 for home delivery!

Was given a bunch of GBA games yesterday.
    And what a line up!
    Barbie, 12 Dancing Princesses
    Disney: Royal Adventures
    and the hardcore
    Barbie, Magic of Pegasus

So, Sparks, would Kirsty be interested in them?
Can give them on to you at the Beers in Dino's

What's the going rate of Demon's Blazon CIB these days ?

I sniped one sunday night but maybe got a bit carried away on the fleabay as the only reference I have are the insane bin ones that never sell .

    Edit :

    PS
    It ended at EUR 67,34

Seen it go for 30-40. The big bucks is the english release, you kind of need the english to get anywhere in it.

    Oops, didn't see CIB there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,750 ✭✭✭ghostchant

60-70 for a boxed copy is pretty good from what I've seen, saw a CIB copy going for 110e in Akihabara, though that was in a slightly overpriced shop, even for Akiba. My unboxed one cost 25e, which I didn't think was too bad, not a bargain but not outrageous either. Haven't noticed it requiring much Japanese to play so far, I wasn't sure why I was wandering around killing everything on each part of the map I landed on but then what else would a demonic gargoyle do? :P Did find a mini-game that I didn't understand at all but reckon an FAQ would clear that up pretty quick.

Here's a few naked pics of the modded Jap 3DO FZ1 I got today.

Click each picture for the full size version.

@ Steve, that's basically the ultimate 3DO....NTSC-J, FZ1 & RGB...awesome. Very neat job on the wiring too :)

Another minor Get!, just for the season that's in it...

Mighty fine soldering - have it pre-modded or do it yourself? I couldn't see myself doing anything that clean/fine :)

I had it done by the guys in Otakus Store in France. They really know their stuff when it comes RGB modding consoles (especially difficult mods like the 3DO).

I'm thinking of getting one of their RGB modded N64's next.

    Where's me Coleco! ;)

It's definetly worth getting the mod done CiderPerson.
Now, as I've a new 3DO and a special one at that it's tradition in the Steve SI household to unwrap a brand new and never used 3DO controller :)

Now, FZ-JP1X or FZ-JP2X, that is the real question.
