had me untill magic came into it, doesnt matter anyway network tv can never do things like this right anyway, they like their shows to be cheap, around the 3-4 million dollar mark per episode, a show like this calls for a game of thrones type of investment of about 7 million dollar an episode,

then again they can go down the spartacus route of cheap looking CGI and second rate actors (not dissing spartacus, i loved it), except for the fact they cant make it even 10% as violent and they cant be showing off to much skin either,

Murder she wrote gets a reboot by NBC.
The new hour long project, which has received a put pilot commitment, is a re-imagining of the long-running CBS series.

Described as a light, contemporary procedural in the vein of Bones or Fargo, it follows a hospital administrator and amateur sleuth (Spencer) who self-publishes her first mystery novel.

Set in a day where sensational headlines inundate the news, this woman’s avid fascination with true crime leads her to become an active participant in the investigations. Former Desperate Housewives executive producer Cunningham is writing and will executive produce with Janollari.

I hear Lansbury has been approached to be a part of the reboot.

    :)

I'd actually forgotten about Castle. I kinda tuned out of the show during last season.

Regarding reboots, Charmed may be getting one.
A revamped version of Charmed is going into production.

According to The Wrap, CBS is currently working on a "re-imagining" of the hit '90s series.

The original US show, which debuted in 1998 and ran for eight seasons, starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano as the three Halliwell sisters, who all had witchcraft skills.

Currently, the reboot project consists of a script deal. However, no pilot or broadcast commitment has yet been made.

Simply Dreadful news was dispersed by Showtime entertainment president David Nevins when he appeared Tuesday at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour in Beverly Hills.
Revealing the first castings for Penny Dreadful — a “totally fascinating” eight-episode “literary horror” series being penned by film vet John Logan and helmed in part by Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) — he said that Josh Hartnett (The Faculty) will play an American “fake cowboy” who enchants the ladies of Victorian era London, while Eva Green (Camelot) has been cast as Vanessa, a character Nevins described as “the fulcrum” of the super-secretive series before catching himself and withholding further details.
Penny Dreadful, which will also feature Dr. Frankenstein and his creature, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the Dracula novel, starts production in October to debut as soon as spring 2014. Nevins lauded the project as “smart and psychological, but we’re not going to be gentle with the horror. I think it’s going to scare the s–t out of people.”

Hartnett currently shooting at the old Mother Redcaps pub in the Liberties tonight.

Graham Linehan is developing a new sitcom with Irish Sketch Group Diet of Worms (Amy Stephenson, Niall Gaffney, Philippa Dunne, Shane Langan and Rory Connolly) called 'The Walshes'. They have filmed a pilot for ITV.

Episode one reportedly revolves around a debs night, with the father teasing his daughter’s nervous date.

Linehan directed the pilot episode, with Blackadder director Richard Boden producing.

Owen Roe, who played Sean Dooley in Ballykissangel is among the cast. He told RTÉ: ‘I’m heading over to London next week to do a sitcom with Graham Linehan, it's called The Walshes.

‘Even though it's been shot in London it's based on an Irish family and is set in Ireland.’

Looks like ITV are trying to come up with an answer to Mrs Browns Boys and Moone Boy.

Hopefully it's more like the later than the former. With Graham Linehan behind it it should be good. Pity it's not being filmed in Ireland though.
