Another television series based on a Stephen King story in the works:

With both Haven and Under The Dome still successful in the States, Stephen King, once lord of all horror movies, is rather hot property on television right now. ABC has just announced another TV series based on his work.

The newly announced Grand Central will be based on the short story The New York Times At Special Bargain Rates, which was published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction in 2008.
The story concerns a woman who receives a phone call from her husband who died in a plane crash two days previously. He warns her of impending tragedy and saves her life. It's not yet clear how the show, which will go straight to series, will spin that into a full show, but the synopsis calls it "a character-driven procedural with a supernatural twist".
Grand Central will broadcast in the US in the summer of 2014. Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan and Scott Shepherd, who are all producers on Haven, will produce.

David Mamet is turning to the Good Book, setting a deal with Fox, Lionsgate TV and 20th Century Fox TV to develop a seven-hour limited series rooted in the concepts behind the seven deadly sins.
Stephen McPherson is shepherding the project with Mamet through McPherson’s production pact with Lionsgate TV.
The famed playwright and screenwriter plans to write and direct the first episode, and write at least two more segs.
The themes invoked by the seven deadly sins will serve as a backdrop of a series of interconnected stories the reflect on the human condition through Mamet’s distinctive lens. And there’s plenty of material to work with from the list of Christianity’s Big 7 no-nos: wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony.
The “7 Deadly Sins” project is in the early development stage as part of Fox’s push to offer more limited-run series and longform projects throughout the calendar year. Mamet and McPherson are exec producing.

Suits star Patrick J. Adams is set as the male lead opposite Zoe Saldana in NBC’s four-hour miniseries Rosemary’s Baby, an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin. Jason Isaacs also has joined the mini, directed by Agnieska Holland. It centers on Rosemary Woodhouse (Saldana), a young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband Guy (Adams), moves into a Paris apartment that has a dark past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child. Isaacs will play warlock/coven-leader Roman Castevet, a role played by Sidney Blackmer in Roman Polanski’s 1968 feature adaptation, in which Guy was played by John Cassavetes. This marks a nice NBCUniversal crossover, with Adams — one of the hottest stars of USA Network where Suits is a flagship series — taking on a lead of an NBC project. It also marks Issacs’ return to NBC where he toplined drama Awake. (He also worked with NBC topper Bob Greenblatt on Showtime’s Brotherhood.) Filming on Rosemary’s Baby, produced by Lionsgate TV, is slated to begin shortly in Paris.

Heigl isn't the problem, it's her mother who people have the real issue with. She's manipulative and controlling and has made enemies on every set she has ever stepped foot on.

Lauren Graham's New CW Pilot Gets a Title, But No Pick-Up...Yet
The good news: Lauren Graham's CW dramedy pilot finally has a title: 'Unfamous.' The not-so-good news: it's still uncertain whether the project will be picked up to series.
    Has she left Parenthood?

This sounds like it's going to either be completely awesome or straight up awful... or even both.

I quite liked Eli Stone, it was funny and quirky but this sounds more dramatic

Neil Marshall will be directing the Constantine pilot for NBC. Going to be interesting to see what direction they go with it as I really can't see them stating loyal to the comic. Something along the lines if Elementary with an English Constantine in America is how I imagine it will play out and is something that was done in the comics. Hopefully the show won't skimp on the sex and violence though I'd be happy if it explored adult themes more than simply presented graphic violence and nudity in a sad attempt to appear adult. It will be interesting to see if they retain the smoking as it's integral to the character as well as one of the stories in the comic.
