good find, U.S. site is much cheaper.
Can it used for anything other than netflix and youtube?

    Great price..

.. very tempted though have a Smart TV downstairs and a "less-smart TV" upstairs connected to an Apple TV.

    Nice spot though!

Kinda wondering the same here as well!? I do know that streaming of local content was hacked into it and then Google came along and updated the device and blocked this much needed functionality :-(

    Cheers,

if you get an IP blocker you can use it to stream stuff from lots of places, like BBC player etc. I got mine a month ago. Definitely worth it.

Could you point me in the right direction to find out how to do this? I have a Chromecast and am on UPC (so no DNS changing, etc). I am not sure what you mean by IP blocker. Thanks.

Please ensure you are on Amazon.com and purchasing from Amazon and not on Amazon.co.uk purchasing from Third Party sellers.

You'll get more help in the Android Forum in the Chromecast thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057056609

I had a look back on Amazon.com this morning, was thinking of getting another as a gift for someone and I got the same message at checkout.

No biggie, I can get it shipped to family and they can post it on.

They are no longer shipping it outside of the US for some reason, either it was a mistake by Amazon or there was too much demand, it looks like people from all over Europe have been ordering them, so not sure if that's the issue, it looks like they have honored anyone who did manage to get an order in though.

RTE players all seem fine as watched via the chrome browser.
