I got a ticket from a meter jockey about 3 weeks ago for out of date tax, it was just out of date (end of Aug 13) and I never got a letter so I had forgotten it was up - I always have my car taxed. I had paid the meter and was parked correctly so I was absolutely livid - I never knew traffic wardens could issue tickets for out of date tax. Absolute prick.

By the way, glad you got caught but that ould wan seems like a right battleaxe, she needs to get a hobby and not be such a busybody.

I rarely see a person parked in a disable bay with a permit displayed get out or going back to a car and actually looks anyway disable in any shape or form.

What are you hoping for, them to fall out of the car and crawl to the shop?

Hey dude are you in Kildare by any chance?

    Yeah, it was in Newbridge.

I wouldn't mind but I saw a woman having a confrontation with the warden earlier and felt sorry for the bloke. Not anymore. I had paid for an hour even though I was literally just popping into the bank.

This happened to me. Parked in Newbridge and came back to the car to find a ticket for €60 for no tax. Car had actually been taxed a few days earlier online and the disk was on my kitchen table. I appealed it with Apcoa and the let me off but it was an eye opener. I didnt know they can fine you for not displaying a valid tax disc.

Back on topic, seems the woman who stood behind the OP's car was a bit of a mad thing, but I suppose thats the risk you take when you park in a disabled spot when you shouldn't.

EDIT - No love from you for parking officers lol

Maybe some of the posters here should campaign to have stupidity declared a disability. Then they could register themselves as disabled and get a special badge with Homer Simpson on it.

Damaging anyone else's property is scumbaggery of the highest order. So fucking what if someone parks in one of the disabled spots. There are always loads of them and people generally only go in them if all the other spots are filled or they're in a hurry to get to the bank or something where they're only going to be there for a moment anyway. Anyone who lets the air out of someones tyres in any circumstance to 'get back at someone' for anything -- is an idiot of the highest order; because they're not only putting the driver at risk but also everyone else on the road. What happen's if you let the air out of an actually disabled persons tyres and they don't notice? An already handicapped driver and dangerously low tyre pressure = a potentially dangerous accident.

Hissy fit? No. I disagree. I hate to see people parked in disabled spaces with no badge, but to damage their car as revenge? Insane behaviour!

I would feel exactly the same as I feel every time I see the use of disabled spaces being abused.

What's the problem? I said it was an "accident".

I am fuuckin delighted you were caught. If I had my way you would get points on your licence for this. either display the sticker or get the fluck out of the space. I nearly lost the plot a couple of weeks back on similar thread, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of gob****es who think this is ok. Anything from "I just had me hair done" to " a bit of a stiff leg"

Did you not use the universally accepted irish method of turning on your hazards? you can park ANYWHERE YOU WANT with them on. dont let yourself be confined by societies rules - be a free spirit man.

TBH, I don't actually damage other peoples cars. I just get a kick out of seeing people who would happily screw over someone in a wheelchair turn incandescent with rage over the thoughts of someone hurting their precious car.

I'm still waiting for Ray to come back to tell is what sports car his can walk/can't walk imaginary friend drives.

I love the bit about "being in a hurry to get to the bank", I suppose that would the exception when you can use the disabled space, but only if you are going to rob it.

    .
I haven't even read my ticket yet such was my rage, had to give up my Polish act aswell with your one standing there.
She nearly died from a smugness overdose.

I've come in here to lick my wounds, on the hit list of offences this has to be near the very bottom, Yes ?.

Seriously? As a child of a parent with Polio who depends on the limited number of spaces available you're a selfish piece of sh*t arent you?

    And you think its amusing?

I hope they take your license away and trash your nasty little car.

Private company fining for non display of tax disc? That can't be right.

I have been involved in many campaigns for people with intellectual disabilities.

I have never campaigned for stupid people, STUPIDITY is very different to intellectual disabilities.

    Who's incadescent?

Why is it relevant what kind of car his friend drives?

They sure did. Depends on the council though. Traffic warden in Lucan told me afterwards that they dont do it there.

I need a walking stick to get around and have a disabled parking permit. There have been times when I couldn't get parking close enough to shops etc. and ended up having to go home without doing whatever business I'd intended. Even places where there seems like a lot of designated spaces can fill up. I'd love be able to park a few minutes away and jog (or even walk) to my destination, but I can't. Claiming it's your first time is no excuse. It's a despicable thing to do.

Should have screamed racist at the woman, shouted it out for all to here, "you Racist, you not like Polish?"

She would have soon backed away.

Some people have no consideration. OP you fully deserved your comeuppance.

Should have used the mother & child space instead.
Whats the story there, went in to supermarket with OH and kiddies,no other spaces but M&C free, drove right in,am I as bad as the OP or am I ok cause I had me a M&C onboard?

Mother and child spaces can fu ck off. Waste of space completely. I think everyone should make an effort to park in them as often as possible. Sexism of the highest order.
