Yea that's the one Im looking for.
    I've read the 1.6tdi 102bhp is much better than the 1.6tdi 75bhp.

Looking for a 2 or 3 year old with low mileage and preferably no vat.

I'm not in a huge hurry to buy as there isnt anything wrong with the van I have, its just a waiting game until a good one comes up,
I'll try and be first to view as usually l find the first serious viewer will buy.

Also the amount of no time wasters written on adds is crazy when most don't even have all the info in the add.

A nice trip down memory lane with Ford marking 20 years of the Mondeo. I still have my Mondeo callcard from 1993

Have you looked up North, may be a fair bit cheaper up there, especially as VRT would just be commercial.

    Got these yesterday.

. Can't wait to fit them at the weekend. New Steering wheel works out at a quarter of the price to re leather mine.
It's not as soft though but will make a huge difference for the interior as it was the only thing showing the 136k miles.

I paid 10 euro for the alloy wheel caps which I'm delighted with as some of mine are badly damaged and faded.

Just watching the latest episode of wheeler dealers, the ford popular one.
    (It was on last tuesday)

They've moved so far beyond diy'er mechanics now it is not even funny! Although the turnaround was amazing.

Just saw an Ad on channel 4 for the Audi A3 SportBack etron, Petrol Electric hybrid.
BUT at the end of the ad it says available Autumn 2014!

Ridiculous to advertise a product thats so far from sale.

It might make people thinking of changing to that small Lexus Hybrid hold off that little bit longer but yes I agree with your point.

Saw an ad earlier for the A3 saloon. So Audi are offering six pretty much identical saloon models now!?!

Lads I have 2 cars that I need to declare off the road, one since 2004 and one since 2006. Is this the form I need to fill out for them and do you have to give them a date for when it'll be back on the road??

    Thanks

Your boss took you wake boarding in Belgium and let you drive their 7er?

If your boss is a six foot well chested blonde then you may just have the perfect job.

You need the rf100A form to declare them off the road until now, stamped by a garda etc.

Then you need the rf150 form to declare for the future Deb :)

Thanks but too late. I waited an hour and 40 min in the tax office only to be told that I have to go to the Garda. 20 mins at the Garda station and now I'm back in the tax office with 52 people in front of me again. I'm seriously pissed now

The worst part is that it has to be redone every year as that's the longest they'll let you declare it for

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,473 ✭✭✭YbFocus

Yeah why can't it be infinite and then apply for tax to put it back on the road! Much easier!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,903 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

i have my own "classic" off the road, has been so for 6 years now. what will happen if i don't declare it?

You are liable for every cent of tax between then and next Tuesday. If you go to tax it again that is.

holy ****, didn't think that was the case. i never read the tax threads on here. i see the car going nowhere in the future.

would it be easier for me to consider a change of ownership down the line instead of queing in the tax office for 3 odd hours.

Yep that'd work! Thinking of that myself, if the queues are going to be that bad.
