Sorry if it's been asked already but if I upgrade from 6.1.3 to 7 will I be able to go back and how would I do it.

Same for me on 5 neither weather or shares are updating and no advice on tech sites. Notifications are switched on - any ideas please. The double click which leads you to all open apps raises an interesting question as to whether it's wasting battery

Go to Notification settings and make sure its enabled

Apple will stop signing iOS 6 very soon if they haven't already. If you're not sure don't update.

Technically yes, but it's a bit of a learning curve if you're not used to faffing about with manual updates. The short answer is that if Apple stop signing it you'll probably have to download whatever version you want from somewhere like here, open itunes with your phone attached, then either Shift+click (PC) or Option+Click (Mac) on the 'restore' tab and choose the software you just downloaded. This will return your phone to the iOS version specified, though really you should only be going back one version if you don't like iOS7.

It's no where near that simple to downgrade and getting harder and harder with each phone and is release

Tried a reset? Hold sleep and home buttons until the apple appears on screen. The odd time it has haopenede to me I just lock it and it's fixed when I unlock

Does automatic app updates drain the battery that much? I know Background App Refresh does.

I followed that exact method with a 4s last night after the update landed and my girlfriend hated it.

That's all well and good. Apple are still signing 6.1.3 but I'm nearly certain it's not possible to downgrade an iPhone 4S but I could be wrong. If it's possible it's not easy.

Siri is much improved since the last time I used it.

Try reading my previous statement again.

Will this work if Apple stop signing it though.

No. If Apple aren't signing it anymore and you don't have the SHSH blobs saved, then you can't downgrade.

Few bugs here and there on my iPad 3rd Gen, overall iOS7 doesn't fell as stable as iOS6 on my device. There's a few nice features, but overall it feels like an update better suited to the iPhone than the iPad.

I have the SHSH blobs saved ok but just wondering what program I would use to downgrade. BTW I haven't upgraded yet as I'm using a gevey sim ultra and I want to be able to go back if it stops working which it possibly will.

Did you ever install Windows ME on a PC? Now that was a nightmare :pac:

I should have said iOS heehee. :P

Still. I love what Apple have done with iOS 7. Didn't think I would, after watching the June preview.

I noticed that when sending an iMessage to someone out of data coverage, you get a red exclamation mark and 'not delivered' below. If you tap the exclamation mark it allows you the option of trying again or sending as an SMS. Does anyone know if you don't do that, will it try to send it as an iMessage again, or will it just stay there, unsent? Obviously I know I can enable 'send as SMS', I'm just wondering whether it just tries once as an iMessage and then stops (or sends as SMS, if you have that enabled) or gives it a chance to send, as in iOS 6, where it would only send as a text 10 mins or so later.

Small annoyance here, I don't like when you click the power button the way it kind of slowly fades into the lock screen is there a way to turn this off?

It won't try again. This is not a new 7 issue.

I know you can scroll to the top by tapping on teh top of the screen , but anyone know if you can quickly scroll to the very bottom of a web page ?

Don't know if I am imagining things but a double tap close to the bottom edge seems to scroll down a few pages at a time...

    This may be useful:

I was slightly annoyed with safari the way it hides the bottom toolbar. But if you do a quick swipe downward (quick scroll) it reappears.

iOS 6 had a timeout, after which it would send messages by SMS, if enabled.

Tap at the bottom of the screen (where it should be) and it will reappear as well.

You can use iTunes to downgrade if you have the blobs.

This is for iOS6 -> iOS5, but it should be the exact same:
