CEX is great for finding games that don't appear often. Makes a nice change sometimes to look at something other than enough copies of fifa to smother an elephant. Not saying that they don't have enough copies of fifa to smother an elephant mind you.

Is that PS2, 360 or PS3 copies of Fifa, or them all combined?

Picked up Mario galaxy (first one) on Wii yesterday for a tenner in cash converters I think it's called on talbot street. Loads of rubbish ps2 games. Tbh I was quite glad that Mario was all that worth pickin up.

I trawled through ex-Xtravision stock in Balbriggan market and was surprised to find bugger all I wanted, masses of 2 year old + games and none of them jumped at me.

They had Yakuza 4 for a fiver, it was the only thing that interested me and it ended up they couldn't find the game :(

Got a 20" Sony Trintron GVM monitor today for a steal, fantastic picture out of it even though I've only tried composite and s-video so far. Need to make up some cables to unleash the RGB :)

You weren't the only one having a gawk. No more space for another CRT though. :(

Nice get Bandit, will be even nicer if/when you get a chance to fire up some scanline pics.

Yeah, I'm on the hunt for a nice Sony Trini for myself and came across that GVM.

Rayman Origins could well be the best €17 I've spent in a loooong time.

Follow it up with Legends (Preferrably on the Wii U if you have one, or Vita) and you'll be beside yourself with awesome platformy joy!

How do the different versions of Origins compare?
I have it on the 360 and Vita but have never given it much time.
I wonder what the 3DS edition is like.
And speaking of the 3DS, anyone know why Rayman Legends didn't come out on it?

The 3DS version of Origins was somewhat panned for being 'gimped', so I'm assuming it's a case of lesson learned regarding Legends.

Is the display just too low res to do the game justice I wonder?
    Never mind.
Which format is best for Legends then?
I'd be tempted to buy it for the Wii U if only so I have something new on it! Unless there's some compelling reason to get it on the 360/PS3.

Actually, I have promised myself not to buy anymore games after GTAV:CE, although I have a copy of the jap Parodius Deluxe on the way for the PS

Wii u is the way to go if thats an option, the murfy escort missions on the wii u are great fun, I bought it both for the kid on wii u and for myself on 360 and brought my own copy back. this plus off-screen play if that matters.

    So, now I own a Commodore 64C.
    Pretty decent, for a freebie.
There's an issue with the number 7 key, so that's wedged up with a folded bit of paper but otherwise it's pretty sweet.
There are a whole bunch of games with it, not a lot to blow the mind, although there is New Zealand Story and Cabal, as well a as Combat School.
What's really sweet is the inclusion of a Quickshot 2 and a pair of Zipstiks!
I'm just testing them out now, will let you know how it goes.
All being well my next investment will be an SD based cart , it's files are mounted like disk images so it should be a pretty painless way of playing classics on the C64.
Wizball and Uridium, here I come!

    That's some nice freebie !!!

No dice with New Zealand Story :(
    Thrust 2 worked though.
If anyone has come across C64 games out in the wild let me know!

Not videogame related but so happy to have this.

Cousin if mine was kind enough to pick it up for me when she was in Boston recently.

Still can't decide whether to take it out of the box or not.

This makes my inner child so happy...

Its part of a limited edition run of anniversary ranger toys to celebrate the 20th. It's diecast metal too as opposed to plastic like the original toy.

I would have guessed 15 years =\ I used to watch power rangers on the den in the mornings.

It's also been 19 years since the first episode of friends was shown.
