hoping to get my own car into cleancar this week coming or next to get a full correction now that i'm back in waterford, the paintjob is probably its biggest downfall and i want it to make a good impression to any prospective purchaser.

I have a DA that you can borrow if you want to try it yourself and save a few quid (I'm around waharferd too). Own pads and polishes mind!

Must pull a lap time from video around Mondello actually, maybe the lap where I catch and overtake an E46 M3 :pac: . Will be interesting to see what I managed and see what it's like compared to what any of you manage next month.

I would agree though, the 535d would have most easily on an open road, but Mondello is very technical, there are so many corners and few straights that power is less important than a well setup footprint. I think I only exceeded 100 on 2 straights of the track.

Mondello is very hard on a car,i would never put my road car around there. I would drive the 'ring over and over before Mondello lol

It's not as bad as you think (I will agree it is harder on a car than the fast flowing tracks). My first time out in my Integra I killed the tyres and brakes, next time out I went a lot quicker but without killing tyres and brakes. Going round like a looper will kill the car but a bit of cop on and you'll be all good and more importantly quicker on the clock

    bit of a strange one,

I sent my car to a garage back in march/april to get repaired.

Car has been there ever since, I have rang a few times for an update and get told the person working on the car isnt in today but car should be ready by the weekend

Now into September. I am working outside of dublin so have not been able to physically visit the garage to make sure everything is 100%

I have had work done with the garage in the past, excellent service and garage have an excellent reputation

just getting a little concerned now, hoping to visit them this weekend as im up in dublin

Passed the NCT first attempt on Tuesday and still has tax until November. needs nothing but a new owner :) 145k km's. fully serviced last month. over the last 6 months its also gotten all new rubber with 4 wheel alignment, new coolant, new gearbox oil, new pads, new battery, new wipers, new plug leads so a good bit of stuff has been renewed (with receipts), its not due to be timing belted until 200k so it needs nothing but to be driven.

the most epic shill in my boards career this post is :p

in the regard of my car yes it did. when i noticed the problem as i said on thread i flushed the coolant and refilled and it came back to a lesser extent. so i flushed and refilled again and it's clean and has remained so for 6 weeks and over 1000 miles. oil level is fine, coolant level is fine and the engine is running fine.

my *asumption* is that my car previously had head gasket trouble and it wasn't correctly cleaned out. honestly though i don't know. but everything appears to be fine now so as the old saying goes "any inspection welcome" :)

Of course... sure those things (big displacement american trucks/american muscle cars in general) are built for the 1/4 mile and nothing else!

Dodge Ram? Max you thieving git that's my feckin dream machine someday!!!!

It better be petrol, at least leave me with a 5.9 :pac:
Hehehe I wanted a 7.3 v8 diesel ford f250 but it was sold before I could sell the golf.

This one is a v10 petrol dodge ram, 8.0 (so you can have the 5.9 or the cummins one :P) Its well known round these parts that I have a horn for diesel engines moreso than petrol. But this dodge (according to my limited experiences) only revs to 4.5k, sounds tractory on startup, and is very "grunty" sounding. A wannabe diesel if you ask me! Plus it gets 8-10 mpg on a good day :)

I got done for speeding in a 50 zone doing 64km/h. ballyforan was the town it's not a speed camera zone yet I got done by a van. Is there any way out of getting the points. If you go to court will you get the fine only?

So a GATSO got you? Doesn't matter what zone it is, Gardai can still do you for speeding.

    Take it on the chin.
