Just goes to show how thick and ignorant lane hogs are.
And I'm sure he would have argued with the cop. And gone to his grave saying he was singled out and hard done by. Only a pity he didn't get a nice, big, juicy ticket...

Having watched several of these clips I can only conclude that Russia is a real-life GTA game.

Techmoan has a new video dashcam review - he seems very impressed with this cam.

    Mini DVR 0801
    1080p
    7.2cm x 4.5cm x 6.0cm.
    62g

This camera seems to strike a good balance between video quality and being discreet.

Sample clips as Youtube makes the video a bit jerky.

We believe you were driving within the speed limit, but you didn't use the lane you were supposed to use.
Other car could have been greatly misleaded. In case of accident, it is quite likely it wouldn't have been only his fault, but possibly 50/50 or something.

Dont know what you were watching??

Ever heard of give way to traffic on the roundabout? Give way to traffic on your right?

Assuming the OP was indicating correctly, he would not be at fault there.

Yes - I heard about giving way to traffic coming from your right.

But do you think it means that driver coming from the right might not obey other rules and go, just because he is coming from the right.
Video poster was clearly using "right hand turn lane only" for going straight through the roundabout. This can be greatly misleading for other drivers.

But once he is on the roundabout, that becomes irrelevant (which way he entered it)
It is down to indication, and traffic on the roundabout versus traffic attempting to enter.

Not even the thieving scumbags that make up the insurance industry could attempt to make that a 50/50

Mark was in the wrong lane.
    206 should of yielded.

Both are at fault, but its the 206 that'd be paying out if something happened.

    That's true.

That's not true, as long as OP was indicating.

That's absolute nonsense. Give way to your right.

If both are at fault, why only one pays if something happens?

Because the lawbreaking of the other car caused the accident.

The manouver of entering the roundabout had already happened, it is over, and did not contribute to the accident. (what if OP had entered a turn earlier, he would have still been in lane 2/inner lane on the roundabout)

That's obviously true, but driver of the red car, could have seen the video poster's car entering roundabout from this particular entrance, and assumed that he will be turning right as he should have done if using this lane.

What in hypothetical case where car A was pulling out from side road into main road, seen a car B 300metres away, and assumed he can go as car is far enough. Unfortunately car B was doing 200km/h and collided with car A.
Whose fault is that? Driver of car A as he didn't give way to car B on the main road, or driver of car B who misleaded driver A by driving at excessive speed?

Given that for the first paragraph we assume that the OP correctly indicated left, he should not have made that assumption and that is why he is at fault.

WRT the second part it is always the fault of the person who did not give way to the motorist already on the carriageway.
If however (as I expect you meant) car A managed to make it fully onto the main road to the point that he was rear ended, then that would be car B's fault

Remember kids, always check for new lane marking. :o

I did actually note them, but as it was the third exit on the roundabout, I would have had to be indicating right as I come up to the roundabout.

A shining example of how ambiguous roundabouts can be. I suppose I'll have to start taking the left hand lane. Which feels wrong to be taking the third exit!

New one this morning! Must be the tourist season.

I had a team of garda investigators carefully examine my lane usage, and all agree I am awesome.

I overtook the truck, indicated back in afterwards. Spotted car looking to enter the dualcarriageway, and nice guy that I am, indicated to the right to give them room.

Wondering what makes them to go to right hand lane straight away... Is it because the left one is for the slow ones or what?

Nothing wrong with the driving but you lose points for failing to swerve and clip the cyclist cycling in the hard shoulder of a dual carriageway.
Turn in your licence at the nearest Garda station.

What a very ill-informed view, Granted there are many uneducated Cyclists that shouldnt be on the roads, the same can be said for Drivers. If its a cyclist vs. a Car the Car wins every time. Have a little consideration for us cyclists who do our bests to obey the rules and are constantly harassed by Drivers who think they are superior. If anything its down to the fact the country has little or no catering for cyclists on roads.

    Peace Out.

Cyclists are actually allowed on Dual Carriageways. We have quite a lot of them in the area. They seem to be a well behaved bunch. I don't have any videos (yet) of them doing anything annoying, so I'll keep them off my naughty list for now.

I've had many pull out to middle of the road to turn right without as little as a glance behind them.

Would have a great reel by now if i had a cam :/
