The more I see of this the more it's hard to not assume it's going to be nothing short of incredible, and I don't even care about the storyline, it's the world itself that looks amazing.

While i'm sure the game will look amazing, take those pics with a grain of salt, they are not ingame screenshots.

I can't wait to jump out of a plane parachute down (assuming I can parachute that is) and just look around at the scale...

I wouldn't count on it. R* has said nothing about it at all

Definitely not. It would be impossible for a demo to do justice to a game of this scope and size.

Ah still though even in the gameplay trailers it looks phenomenal

I am concerned about a lot of peoples expectation of this game graphically. Afterall, this game is not next-gen, its the same hardware that has been around for quite a while now. There will have to be some considerable corners cut in order to make the game run more smoothly and to accommodate all the to dos and to sees.

My expectations are Max Payne 3 , it is that engine after all

Agree, haven't been excited about a games release in years. More looking forward to this than the PS4 tbh!

I hate people building stuff up, it's normally never as good as you expect. But I think we can all safely assume that GTAV is going to be, not only the best game of all time, but the best thing to ever happen.

There's something about the release of a GTA game that makes me extremely excited, more so that most other games. I think its the way rockstar market the game, over they last 2 years they've fed us tiny bits of information which always leaves you wondering and wanting to know more.

The graphics will be most likely better than GTA 4, I would hope!

So with that in mind and the vast space we have to play in I think we will all be pretty much blown away.

No game has ever come close to GTA 5 for open world play, you can literally do anything in this game that you can do in everyday life ( some if your a millionaire) :D

That's what I'm so excited about, the release from stressful reality into a world where you can do and be anything with very few limitations and forget about the real work for a few hours or eh maybe days

Maybe you all know this but thought id throw it up anyway

Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.

This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive (sold separately) with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance.

That game had a very small map so while the character movement may be similar the environment and textures will not. (I doubt anyway)

Don't get too carried away. You may be able to do a lot more than what was on offer in GTAIV but it won't be without its limitations.

I expect huge loading times, but it's always at the end of hardware's cycles they get the best out of them, some of the most impressive ps2 games came out in its final year and really pushed the hardware beyond what we'd seen before.

I've never played shadow of the collossus and I suspect I'm missing out on a truly great game. Anyone played it?

One of the best games ever made.

Only thing which suffers in it is framerate due to the aging hardware it was running on.

I presume this is just for the Xbox? I have a PS3 and I don't want another Metal Gear Solid 4 experience. Agony waiting for that thing to load.

I have the game pre-ordered, going to drop the sprog off at day-care, pick up the game, send the missus off to work and plonk myself on the couch for the day. Only 2 weeks left!

It's been 979 days since the first post in this thread.

14 days to go (13 and 22hours for the pedantic :P)

So, given I won't get the game in my hand until the Friday... should I wait until the following Tuesday just so it can an even 1,000 days?

Not a chance in hell of it happening, but still....
