It wasn't fun, and based on my real life driving experience, it wasn't all that realistic either.

Based on my experience of American cars it was spot on. Boat like handling is how I'd describe just about every American car.

They one on the left actually looks like an ex girlfriend of mine. She had handcuffs too.

As for the driving in 4, I hated it but on the 3rd playthrough, I started really liking. The problem was the amount of $hit cars that were so slow and heavy. The very rare time I found a banshee, I always had a great laughing driving round the city. Most times being surrounded by taxis and virgos, I just ended up taking a taxi to next mission.

V looks to be packed with class cars and such a bonus having your own garage.

I find the driving in gta4 ok.....i can drift most cars pretty well and once your use to the style its easy to get around.

Or just take the heli

By the looks of V we will be spoilt for choice in a manner of different ways of transport

GTA IV had fantabulous driving mechanics. It saddens me to hear of a more arcadey feel. IV was great once you put in a small bit of effort.

I thought the driving in IV was great too. The old American muscle cars were great craic driving. That's what GTA is all about, having great craic, and if they make it too much like a driving sim it will take the fun out of it.

A lot of people complained. If they didnt do anything they would lose customers. It seems a lot more hated it than liked it. I got used to it after a while, but it still wasnt as much fun as the previous games.

Casual gamers wont put in hours and hours to master driving, just like the majority cant fly the dodo in GTA III. Considering driving is such a big part, they kind of have to go with the majority on it. Personally, I think it will be somewhere in between the two levels.

I had to fold under part of the spring 2013 bit to make it fit in the frame, so it worked out well in that sense.
